Dou Dou Cafe reviews
13Though this is a small establishment with a limited menu, they excel! I’ve visited 4 times in 2 weeks and keep trying the same dish. The spicy pork belly rice bowl has me in a choke hold. It’s the perfect thing to warm you up and the flavors are so developed and complex for such a simple dish. I also love the spring rolls with beef and shrimp. I’ll definitely be returning.
Absolutely delicious food! The spicy lemongrass beef grass was so flavorful and delicious. My husband also loved his pork belly rice bowl.
We can't wait to come back and try the other dishes!
Maybe it just wasnt good when i came in or maybe it’s specifically the items i ordered, but reviews vs reality, it felt very overrated.
We spent 56 dollars on two bowls of beef noodle soup and one iced tea.
Small soup serving + broth tasted very very much like store bought beef broth. They didnt even try to put anything to mask the store bought beef flavor. The noodles were nothing special either.
The iced tea was filled with ice, so there was hardly any iced tea in reality.
The reviews were really good and we drove 30 minutes to try it but it was very overrated.
Amazing spicy beef soup and amazing pork belly w/rice! Also very friendly people and very clean place! It’s our new neighborhood favorite.
Fantastic food. A must try! Their soups are deep and savory. The spring rolls are fresh with great dipping sauces.
We dined in
Time 7: 00pm
Pros: excellent broth thick rice noodles not sure how I feel about them
Cons: no Thai basil no vegetable plate no black chili no red chili no hoisin very small serving for the price
Was $30 for very small bowl with little in it and 2 spring rolls
Place has potential but I won't be back with pholong in town
The only deduction I give them is for use of the wider type noodles other than that the broth rocks. Pho is life
A real hidden gem. We love that the food is full of flavors and authentic. The owners are very nice and welcoming. I love taking my friends and co-workers here, and they love it too!
We walked in and walked right back out. The restaurant literally smelled like rotten eggs.
Delicious, cooked with love. Try this food out. If you don't like it, I'll let you pay for me next time.
Very good. Clean. The location is a bit odd. Basically, it is a one bedroom apt in a four-family building that has been turned into a restaurant. That said, I quite liked the place and will go back.
I am initially want to try their Pho but convinced by their pork belly. I always bought it to go and it’s a masterpiece! So delicious! Must try! With rice or noodles, they both delicious
First time and last time. GROSS! Waisted money on break, threw it in trash and went up the street to Saint Louis bread company. If I tell you I’m trying something new, u assist the customer instead of looking at pics with your friend on Facebook! And not ignore your customers. Then I receive raw coke meat on top of dry noodles. Not to mention, wearing the same gloves she touches everything with to make the food
