Dr. Darin Minkin, St. Louis MO

I have been a patient of Dr. Minkin’s for years. I had suffered for years with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. So many missed diagnosis. I was in a new hospital with the same pain. Dr. Minkin was asked to consult. He did a laparoscopic surgery on me and removed large amounts of scar tissue. After recovering from the surgery, I was pain free. He was great when my husband needed surgery.

Dr. Minkin and his office team was great. I haven't had surgery yet, but Dr. Minkin has explained very well. I'm excited to get this surgery.

My review does not have to do with Dr. Minkin himself. I had my surgery in Sept 2019. I didn't care for his nutritionists and his staff was not the nicest. Since my surgery I have seen his wife maybe 2 or 3 times which was within the first 6 months maybe for follow up after surgery. Then it's like no one cared how things were going. Some things changed in life and I have gained some weight back. Some of my own doings and some I cannot help. Now I am looking into another surgery but not sure I would go back due to how it was after surgery. But Dr. Minkin is a very nice doctor but I didn't really care for anything else. Plus no other surgeon office charges $75 program fee.

Everyone in the office is very nice. I felt very comfortable with the doctors. Very happy with my decision to chose Dr. Minkin!

Dr Minkin is an excellent surgeon and great human being. When I had my surgery, he was there the next day on his day off doing surgery for folks before their insurance ran out. He also took a biopsy of my liver and I believe by doing this he saved my life. God Bless him. A lot of surgeons would not have done this. What a wonderful guy.

Dr Minkin and his staff are amazing! I have felt supported and informed throughout the process. I have lost 130 pounds since my surgery on April 1st and couldn’t be happier with my progress.

Dr. Minkin did my sleeve surgery over two years ago and has recently helped me navigate an unrelated health issue. He is an excellent surgeon and doctor who listens to your concerns, answers all your questions, and never makes you feel rushed.

This whole weight loss journey might not have happened if I went somewhere else. Dr. Minkin is straight forward breaks down the procedure so that anyone can understand it. The staff in his office and the dietitian all work hard to help me. St. Luke DePere was kind and thoughtful in my care. And I'm hard to please

It was nice finally getting to meet a doctor as genuine as Dr. Minkin. When I talked to him about the procedure I needed, he knew exactly how he was going to do it and didn't put it off as other doctors did or the lack of them caring to solve it the first time

Dr. Minkin helped me change my life! I have lost over 70 pounds and I’m still losing. The only regret I have is that I didn’t do the surgery sooner. Dr. Minkin stays up-to-date on the latest minimally invasive surgical procedure technology. He is excellent at explaining the process every step of the way. He has the ability to earn his patient’s trust early during the process. Dr. Minkin’s Physician Assistant, Erin is there with any medication assistance and to guide patients with any questions that can arise. She personally assists with weight management advice and guidance during the weight loss journey. Dr. Minkin’s office is friendly and very helpful with any patient’s needs. His staff genuinely cares about each patient’s well being and weight loss success. All of these qualities were a decisive factor in choosing my bariatric surgeon and his team. I am thrilled with the outcome and I know I couldn’t possibly have achieved it without Dr. Minkin and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Minkin is great! He’s very personable and takes his time to answer all your questions or concerns. The staff is wonderful too, definitely not the stuffy doctor setting one might be used to.
