After repeated questionable procedures I finally went to another dentist after my wife suddenly needed 2 more fillings. The other dentist found nothing and years later, still no cavities. Stay away from this dental practice.

Let me preface this review by saying I have serious Dentist struggles - I have a horrible gag reflex and I’m terrible at dental hygiene (especially when I was younger), so I know going in that I’m going to get bad news about my teeth.

TL;DR - I haven’t gone to the dentist in 3 years and this one is an hour from my house…and I will come back here for all future appointments.

After avoiding the dentist for 3 years, I finally worked up the courage to set an appointment. I tried to set up an appointment with 5 different dentists without success for various reasons. I finally had someone recommend Dr. Gregory St. John, so I gave them a call and got an appointment right away (Plus #1). When I arrived, I was so stressed and dreading the whole experience. I said something about my fear of the dentist, and Dr. St. John actually asked me what I was worried about and took time to listen (Plus #2). He and his hygienist then spent the entire appointment trying to make me as comfortable as possible and checking in on me (Plus #3). At one point, he even talked through the proper way to use a toothbrush - which sounds so basic, but no dentist has ever taken the time to explain the “why” behind a specific brushing method, they usually just say, “Brush your teeth more” (Plus #4). He was incredibly non-judgmental when talking me through my need for a root canal and my gum issues (Plus #5). Even though he’s an hour from my house, I’m going to come back here for all of my future appointments because this was the best dentist appointment I’ve had in a long time!

I've been going to Dr. Gregory St. John for over 25 years, and don't plan on going elsewhere. He always takes the time to answer my questions and because of his expertise, I have never had any major issues with my teeth. His staff is friendly, and I'm always recommending him to my family and friends! I wish I could give him 10 stars!

These people have been so screwed up and told my wife that she needed all this work done that she didn’t actually need. We went to a real dentist with advanced technology instead of all the out of date equipment. She actually didn’t need anything and didn’t have any cavities. This place should be shut down. It is like a hole in the wall with no patients and his receptionist who is also the dental assistant. They are very strange and set up so many unnecessary appointments. BEWARE.

My family have been patients of Dr. St. John for over 20 years. I think some reviewers here don't understand much about how business works. It is your responsibility to verify what is and isn't covered by your insurance. If you fail to do this, the surprise is on you. It is standard policy to expect payment at the time of service unless you have made prior arrangements. Dr. St. John is very thorough and knowledgeable. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Please find better service elsewhere. These guys attempted to bill me for a service that my insurance denied, along with putting me NOT at fault. They have a contract specifically saying.if insurance denies a code and the patient is not at fault. (patient does not have to pay anything). They are REQUIRED to write it off. Found better service over at Premeier Dental. After suffering severe pain from high fillings. When my new dentist office contacted these guys for my x- rays.they really gave us the run around. A month later. They are trying to bill me yet for the same bill! Insane!
