Dr. Steve C. Stromsdorfer, MD, St. Louis MO

I randomly just stumbled across these reviews for Dr Stromsdorfer and was blown away! 5 stars is not high enough for he and his staff. I have been seeing Dr S for coming up on 2 years and could not be happier with him, his office staff, or my treatment. Dr S's staff always finds a way to fit me in if I need to be seen immediately, even when it is my own fault for scheduling incorrectly. I have never even slightly perceived a touch of hostility or uncooperativeness from the office staff. They always go above and beyond for me and are also extremely positive and uplifting from the moment you step into the office. Dr S.has worked through so many ups and downs and life changing events with me that have involved medication trials numerous times, and he has never shown any sense of irritation or rushing me. He has always taken however much time is needed to listen to everything I have to say and answer every question I ever have. At one point I was having issues with my insurance changing the way they wanted to be billed, the office staff explained it to me and the Dr told me not to worry about it, that we would figure it out once my insurance paid their part. I could continue to rave about this Dr and office, but I hopefully have made my point clear. Dr. Stromsdorfer and his staff have been top notch during all interactions I have had with them over the last 2 years. I would (and have) highly recommend this Dr to anyone. P. S. - Only con I can force myself to come up with is that there is a bit of wait time most visit, but after all of my interactions there, I am able to accompany the wait time to the amount of time he will spend with each patient when needed.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Stromsdorfer for many years, and I find him to b a great doctor. He is very easy to communicate with, and always caring, compassionate and explains everything in detail. He is always available when I need him. I highly recommend him

Dr. Steve has been awesome! Very knowledgeable, professional and his staff does what they can to help you when you need it. Other doctor's offices I have worked with are rude and unfriendly. Not this group. If you ask something of them they are quick to help and if they can't right away they communicate with you the minute they can. I would highly recommend Dr. Steve and staff!

My son has been seeing this doctor for 8 months. We have had a very negative experience with him. He is rude and disrespectful to my son talks down to him and interupts constantly. He even hung up on him several times.
I would definitely NOT recommend this doctor.
Positive note his staff trys to be helpful but is limited to what they can do for patients without him interferring. I believe this doctor needs to learn to deal with mental health in a more delicate manner and possibly seek treatment himself.

I had been seeing Dr. Stromsdorfer for a very long time. He has a very good knowledge of medications and had always been a decent enough doctor to me. Nothing super special, but decent. I even have recommended him to two of my close friends. My last appointment I had a small disagreement regarding a charge on my account. He literally grabbed the phone from his receptionist and started yelling at me. He would not even let me get a word in. He ranted at me for several minutes before finally letting me explain my situation. Even then while I was speaking he interrupted me and was very disrespectful. My head was spinning! I was shocked that a medical professional, MY doctor and a Psychiatrist would ever speak to a patient the way he did to me. I related this experience to my friend that I had recommended him to, and she proceeded to tell me that he did the same to her over some paper work he was asked to fill out for insurance purposes for her. He yelled at her repeatedly and left her in tears.
My recommendation is that you look elsewhere for psychiatric help than this man. He clearly needs psychiatric help himself!

Absolutely the worst Dr. I have ever seen/been in contact with. Very disrespectful person I highly recommend avoiding this Doctor

Couldn't ask for a better doctor. Dr Stromsdorfer is supportive, understanding and professional. His office staff are pleasant and very helpful. 5 out of 5 stars!
