Video Arcade Draftcade reviews
21 Went walking around Zona Rosa and ran across this place. I am a huge video game nerd so a place that has old school video games and alcohol was something I needed to check out. They have a huge selection of old school video games which are playable with a $7 bracelet which gets you unlimited games.
We took a seat and checked out the menu. There is a great variety of food options and their drink specials are all video game themed names. I ordered the Porky's Revenge sandwich which is a pulled pork with smoked ham and bacon. It is really good. Wife had the pulled pork platter and it was not small.
It is open to all ages until 8 then it is 21+.
Only a few pinball machines worked. Only a few arcade games are worth playing. Most of the games are so old and obsolete its boring. Not worth it. Very disappointing.
Lotta stuff was broken. Bowling didn’t work, only one of the skee ball machines worked, and all the basketballs were flat. A lot of the arcade games were in poor condition as well. Gotta fix these things, they put a real damper on the night and made it all way worse than other times I’ve been!
Happy hour specials were great though!
Absolutely fantastic experience, have a socially mixed family but we all found something to enjoy here! Great variety of drinks as well, I loved being able to try some new things I can't find in my own town!
It's a bar that you play old arcade games. Good selection of beer on tap and a good amount of arcade games. Many of the games are on the older side and might not work properly
Brought 9 teenage boys for a 16th birthday. When I called to make sure it was possible, they reserved a table for us and let us bring in our own cake. The service was outstanding. Our server was great. Food was tasty. 95% of games were in working order and the boys had a great time. Can't ask for more than that.
Machines are in poor condition, lots of games have 2nd player buttons not functioning at all and many games have sticky buttons. Lots of joysticks are very very flimsy and are extremely sensitive
Love the idea! Like games, food and and a few beverages? Great place but the games don't all work. (Some buttons stick, joysticks don't register, all wear and tear stuff)
I'll start out by saying I've been to many (over 15) "classic" arcades and barcades in the past 2 yrs and have been a collector and hobbyist for over 20.
Draftcade KC makes it in my top 5 classic arcades I've been too and easily the best "barcade" I've visited. Typical barcades are bars first with a few broken down machines in the back so they can pull in the hipsters.
The games in here are in top condition. Clean, well maintained with accurate monitors and joysticks (with 2 exceptions). Its obvious they care about the games and take pride in what they have. Not only do they have the classics (PacMan, DK, Galaga ect) they have some exceptionally rare machines as well. Lazarian and Space Zap for example. They even have a fairly good selection of pins.
I highly recommend you give them a visit. Easy parking and lots of shopping in the area for the non-arcade addicts.
Cool atmosphere with arcade games. We went on a Sunday just to meet a friend from out of town. Ordered beer, which was fine, decent selection. Ordered food, which took more than 30 minutes to come out (not sure of exact time) and had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for quite a long time. The pickle was hot to the touch and the cheese had all melted out of the grilled cheese, and the fries were flaccid. The funnel cake fries were the same way. In the bartender's defense, there were other people working who could have brought the food out if he was too busy, but overall I would call the food a fail because it sat too long. He never really checked on us unless we got his attention first. Could have been good if not - the menu is decent. I would say aim to show up when more people are working if you want decent food and service.
Been here a few times during the daytime and I was never impressed, but last night I went and it was a lot different. A lot more fun at night! Plenty of room, good beer, and the best breaded mushrooms I have ever had in my life.
Wish there was a 3.5, but since there isn't I have to say, all and all, it wasn't worth a 4 star review really. The service was shoty, but the servers were nice. The food was a touch bland and a bit funky, but doable in you a few bites in. The food was not hot but just warm enough we ate without complaint because, by nightfall, we had gone all day without eating. Our party of five received our meals at 3 different times with about 10 minutes between one or two of us getting our plates.
Food and beer selection were solid. Really shows they're trying in that regard. Games were fun enough for a great night. Although, most were also pretty darn old and more than a few weren't 100% working. All in all its a solid night and well be back!
Great place to go. All the classic games you can think of! They're constantly cleaning everything and the staff is really friendly.
Clean & good vibes but the drinks are pretty watered down and even if there's only a handful of people there, expect to wait quite awhile for the server to come over. Less cramped than the other arcade bar though.
A most amazing atmosphere to have any number of amazing drafts they carry. Staff was very professional and service was very quick. I really enjoyed the two different drafts I partook of!
Great through back arcade! Kids are welcome until it gets to late so if you want to bring the kids out this is a good place to do it. The price to pay is really reasonable. They have a small menu for food if you decide you need to munch on something. Oh yeah and draft beer.
I've only gone one time. It was for lunch and we were just in the area. But they the house burger is the best I've ever had.
This is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy! Me and my dad go there every now and then and it is really fun! They have great games to choose from. The only problem I had was a couple of games were broken, but I dident mind.
Drinks were great, mac and cheese bites were really good! Porky's revenge was dry even with the barbecue sauce. Little disappointed that our food sat for a while before our bartender realized it was ready. Long enough the fries were cold. Absolutely recommend for some classic gaming fun!
