E. H. Young Riverfront Park reviews
16It’s got a little something for everyone… pickle ball, playgrounds for all ages, dog park and beautiful walking paths
The park is nice. However if you want to rent or reserve one of the picnic buildings the city staff are not helpful. They told me both structures were reserved, and I could rent the small one across the street from police station. We had our event in EH Young Park anyway. From 2pm to 6pm we practiced knots, safety harness, emergency rescues, Throw rope bags, and more, not one person at either of the places the told me were reserved.
Nice big playground for all ages. 8 pickle ball courts, which gets filled pretty quickly. I saw a couple big shelters with grills and outlets. And the Missouri River is next to it so you can walk next to it along the pavement.
Really nice park with super cool and modern playground equipment and a beautiful walking trail. There's even a zip line!
Nice side park. The dog part needs better lighting at night. I am one of the few that takes my dogs late at night and don't like not being able to see.
It is a great park for many reasons. It's a nice walk although there's not much shade. Pickleball courts are awesome. There's a nice playground for the kids. I also ride my bike through the winding trails at times.
The mulch play surface is difficult to maintain for accessibility however I like the play equipment and the pickleball courts are really nice.
Quiet, peaceful. We are here for the open air meeting with the salvation army, northland corps
This was an awesome park. Playgrounds for toddlers and older kids. A zip line several tennis courts a big walking path with a view of the river. I think this is my favorite park in KC.
Nice & clean park with a lot of fun equipment for kids. Pickleball courts are fabulous! Big pavillion with 2 grills in good condition and lots of trash cans & recycle containers. Nice walking trails, too.
Good place bad memory I was with a girl that was my friend best friend actually girlfriend actually likes to lie
Wonderful park! Very clean, full of fun amenities for everyone, lots of shade over the play structure.
It is an awesome spot to play pickleball, a large park to have events, and a large play area for the kids. Great walking/running trails. Can be windy though since it's on the river front but great views with it. The dogs have a blast running around everywhere.
I recently visited this location for a trip at the park, pickleball courts, and potluck with friends! We loved the venue entirely, but we weren't informed that the ghost of E. H. Young himself would be present, so when he arrived unexpectedly, he of course gave us all a scare! My son, however is such a huge fan and he asked for a picture! Young happily obliged, but wasn't actually able to be seen in the photo. Weird. Highly recommend!
This park has something for everyone and all ages of kiddos. Don't forget to hit the river view up at sunset. There is currently a sand bar down there to play around in due to the river being low. Pickleball courts are a plus. Zipline was a hit with the kids. I gave it a go and enjoyed the ride!
My family loves this park, each time we come near the airport we make a point to stop by. Great park for kids and adults.
