Eagle Knoll Golf Club reviews
11After my last rating the course has switched ownership, they promoted a local senior member of the maintenance staff to greens keeper, and have spent money in the right places. The course is in great shape. They will plug and sand the greens in the spring, and keep them long and alive in the heat of the summer. All of this allows the course to hit its peak during the cooler fall months, during which it plays with a firm and fast links feel, winding through the upper river highland ridges and hollers. It is one of those courses that I have yet to get bored with or tired of playing. Well done and keep it up.
We held the Mo Juvenile Justice Association golf tournament here on August 26,2022. The staff were amazing! Tournament ran smoothly and it was a great place to golf!
This is a great track. The staff is great and the course is challenging but fair. Play a rounds there every year.
Honestly this place stinks. Course was fine but they’ll make you feel like a criminal for playing here. They do not like their patrons. Avoid this course if you don’t like being harassed by the club house.
Course is a challenge, fringe on greens have weeds growing in it. CARTS ARE TERRIBLE. Tracks your movements and warns you that they can see you. It's as if they don't trust their clientele. Very annoying during a round of golf. You dare not go into the rough and look for your ball and god forbid you need to go back for a club you left behind. They'll shut your cart down and leave you sit for a minute. Three stars is generous.
Lady at the club house was very mean. This course hates their golfers. I went and paid for my round and she refused to give Me a cart key. Bunkers like concrete. Paid too much for beer. Avoid at all costs.
We had a great family day of golf! The cart path was a bit rugged in places, but overall the course is gorgeous and a fun day of golf for all levels of play!
Great value, fun course with rolling hills and established trees. Fairways were a little rough but playable for sure. The carts have this cool gps screen on them that are easy to use and keep your score. But, they are also the reason why I am not giving them 5 stars. The gps will beep at you if you go off the cart path and if you don’t return soon enough, it shuts the cart down. VERY VERY VERY annoying. One time, we were on the cart path and it just kept beeping beeping beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping! Look if I wanted to be nagged at all day, I would have stayed home! The course is not that nice of a shape that you can’t let the carts go where the ball is. The gps for distance to the hole-cool. The gps beeping and shutting down the cart-not cool.
We played Osage National on Saturday, then Eagle Knoll Sunday. Absolutely one of the neatest courses I've played. Loved the challenge and layout of this course. I will go back in October it will be beautiful.
Love the course but not the management. All courses I have played lately in Missouri have allowed 1golfer per cart due to Covid, but not this course. I was prepared to walk away to play elsewhere but two of our foursome begrudging agreed to play together and the other walked the course, which is no minor feat so that I could ride alone. My wife is immunosuppressive due to having had a kidney transplant and I cannot risk bringing Covid home to her. I wouldn’t have minded paying extra for this privilege but it was against the policy of the group managing this and several other courses in mid MO. The manager indicated in his email that they didn't have enough carts to accommodate more than two carts per foursome, but the course wasn’t that busy on that Wednesday. It just seems like a very short sighted policy regarding the health and welfare of the golfers who play this course. Very disappointed with their lack of regard of their golfers’ health and their complete lack of flexibility. They should let golfers know when they call for tee times that this is their policy.
Still one of the best challenging public golf courses in Mid Missouri. Beautiful course with a great coplexity to the average golfers abilities. Multilple level greens. Draws, fades, elevation, delevation, fairlway tilt, tees, creeks, valleys and lakes. Putting green, driving range. Excellent challange and even more excellent views for the cost of a game. Still a great value for what you get compared to most clubs or resort golf excursions. Worthy way to spend your day and $.
