Efata Flooring Contractor And Bathrooms Remodeling Saint Charles MO

I had a terrible experience with Efata. Don't be fooled by Ricardo and his willingness to get the bid, the job, and take the down payment. Be very cautious with this company and Ricardo because, once they have you scheduled, and have your money, they don't care about doing a quality job - they will try to do the job as fast as possible, with errors, issues, and waste. Efata has cost me over $1000 in repairs and loss of materials! Shame on Ricardo and his company - he is running around St. Charles and St. Louis getting jobs, subbing out the work, and does not care about quality and the damage he has caused in my home. I understand some mistakes may happen but, if they do, honor the mistake, fix the mistake! But, Ricardo is gone, vanished, non-responsive and kept (stole at this point) my money. Terrible, terrible, terrible person and company. Ricardo is a liar and a thief - do not be fooled by his fast turn around and willingness to take your deposit! Next is reporting Efata to the BBB, the MO Attorney General, and calling "5 on your side" - this is that type of company.

Avoid! I hired Efata for bathroom tile and their prep work was horrible. When I pointed out concerns they said "it's not a problem" which was wrong. I had 5 other tile contractor bids and they all said their prep work is an issue and would cause leaks. Efata is all about doing the job as fast as possible with no quality and I I strongly do not recommend.

BEWARE: Terrible experience from Ricardo and Efata. Run away now! Do not use Efata or Ricardo. He subs out the work and the quality is really bad. I'm not the type of person to give people 1 star reviews, this one star review is not only about making mistakes - it's about making mistakes and not taking ownership of the mistake and a willingness to fix them. These are not "cosmetic" mistakes or "overly picky" mistakes - these are issues that are clearly going to cause leaks and problems down the line. (i.e, wobbly waterproof tile board at the floors because they refused to install reinforcement 2x4s in the proper spaces.you could touch the waterproof board and it wobbles.as in can be pushed into the wall several inches.they had already installed tiles around this area so they were not going to reinforce this.they blatantly ignored me on this and went ahead with the work anyway. The screws used to install the waterproof board are several feet apart and then bunched up at the shower base and were never properly covered, waterproofed. Bent water proof board. Uncovered gaps where the waterproof board meets the drywall.no waterproofing or floating out this seam so it's flat and flush for the tile install.they went ahead and started the tile install around this area without finishing the prep work which would cause uneven tile on the wall at this seam because the junction between the waterproof board and drywall was not even.the drywall is about 1/8" thicker at this area.again they started tiling the wall up to this point so they were never going prep this area properly (it is too late to float out this area when wall tile is installed right up to this spot). And I can keep going.) The prep work was terrible and we had to ask them to stop working because of very clear issues. Luckily, I was able to stop them before they installed the rest of the tile and, worse, down the line there are leaks. I have since had several other tile bids due to Efata and Ricardos mistakes and negligence and all the other tile contractors have said "wow.that will be a leak in about a year from now". Ricardo and Efata made so many rookie mistakes it makes me think the guys he used to outsource the work have very little experience or training with installing tile. Ricardo is all about getting the job finished as fast as possible at all costs with terrible quality. Again, their work is so terrible, I decided to write this 1 star review for Efata, Ricardo, so that others out there do not experience what I went through.we homeowners work hard, buy expensive materials, and pay expensive labor rates and these guys demand alot of pay for terrible work and take no ownership for their mistakes.it's not right! Even though I caught Efata before it was too late, they cost me, easily, $1000 in material and redoing their labor.

Ricardo was great to work with — very professional and responsive. His team did a fantastic job installing flooring throughout our basement and I will definitely use them again.

Efata saved our project! After our original contractor ghosted us Ricardo was quick to respond and get to work. He was incredibly patient with me and supply chain issues we ran into as we needed to order more supplies for the project. Work was incredible and I love my new kitchen backsplash.
