8Authentic Mexican food from an expansive menu. Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable dining room.
My family loves El Maguey. A simple atmosphere inside and nothing fancy, but we always love the food and it's become a staple for our clan.
Restaurant was worn and older on the inside and could use some extra cleaning. Other El Maguey locations are better. Food was fair. The chips and salsa were plentiful.
We are from Chicago and found this restaurant that is amazing, great food and service. Mango Margarita is fire.
The food was excellent. I have no complaints there. My issue is with the menu/pricing. I called in a to-go order after having looked at the menu on this stores website. I based my order off of the pricing that is listed on their websites menu. When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order, the server informed me it would be $5 more than what the website pricing said and even after being shown the menu told us “It’s an old menu. ” I tried to explain that I didn’t think it was right to make me pay that much but he was unwilling to compromise. I don’t think $5 would have broke either me or El Maguey, however it’s the point of the matter.
You need to update your website with the current menu or stand by that pricing for someone who places an order based on the websites information.
Bottom line: if you base your order off of their website, know that the pricing will probably differ when you pay/pick up your order.
Service was amazing, staff was super friendly even to my 3 year old and 2 year old, food was very good and got to us super quick, also loved how they were super safe with everything all employees wore masks and gloves the whole time. Would highly recommend and will be going back again!
I was expecting just ok Mexican but was so pleasantly surprised by DELICIOUS food! I even ate all of the rice and beans! I was with 3 other friends and everyone loved their food. We will all be back, that's for sure.
