Encompass Medical Group Independence Office

Dr. Gunn has been my provider for almost 25 years. I followed him through his practices. He is the best. He listens to your concerns and approaches your healthcare with a team like approach. I love the same day illness slots. Lab staff are so nice and great at their jobs.

I like my primary Dr. The thing i noticed is that the office could use a freshening up. I've been going to this office 5 years & don't think it's been refreshed in all that time.

I contacted Dr Dowd's office based on a referral from a former nurse. The office gotr scheduled within a week! My local Ob-gyn clinic offered an "urgent referral" appt for 5 weeks out and another clinic offered an appt 2 months out.this didn't set well when I had a report of possible carcinoma. I am so thankful I chose Dr Dowd. He listened to every detail, read the reports and then explained how we were going to proceed. I will continue to make the 2 hour trip to his office to have all I'm dealing with taken care of. The whole visit with additional labs was still complete in an hour.for a NEW patient.and at no point was i ever rushed to explain or be treated. Dr Dowd, Maggie, the Lab Techs, and front desk individuals have a very efficient process. Kudos to all of you! And THANK YOU!

Knowledgeable staff friendly. Really the only hiccup was waiting a long time for blood work. I gave my self and when u made the appointment so I'd be to work on time a couple Mike's up the road. Waiting a unusually long time if I'm comparing to other visits, made me 20 minutes late for work. Like I said, this is normally not the case. Just a busy day I guess period

I am 38 years old and have been going to this doctors office sense I was newborn back when it was by the stadiums. I’ve only had to have 2 doctors my entire life my pediatrician (who is no longer there) and the doctor I have now (Dr. Ngyune) they are both amazing doctors who care and listen! I highly recommend this office. They also have an amazing pharmacy, I am self pay and they are cheaper than anywhere I’ve been and they are on top of it! I usually can get in the same day or next day, they are very flexible and go out of their way to help/ work with you.

I was very pleased with my first experience from the time I called to schedule my first appointment to meeting the Dr. I felt like I was heard. I appreciate that. Thank you so much!

I am so happy with Encompass/ my doctor. From the time I call to make an appointment I have never had a condescending staff person or doctor. They have always worked with me, taken care of my illnesses or issues, made appointments that fit me and not just them. It is so convenient to have a lab right there for my blood draws and I know one time when my numbers were deathly low, they came looking for me to get me to the hospital and didn't wait the week until my appointment to let me know. I highly recommend them!

WORST SERVICE EVER!
Patient beware! I had been a patient of Dr Shaikh for YEARS and loved her service but because I have a LIFE THREATENING DISEASE and made 1 Md appt while waiting to be seen by her since I couldn’t get into her in a timely manner, they decided to without even asking me or phoning or messaging me to terminate my client relationship. Then when I called in to make an appointment they told me it was “financial reasons” so I went paid my bill in full and then tried to make my appointment, and they told me that I was canceled by the dr. All I can say is WOW, I lost my leg a few years back to this disease and I’m sorry I’m not willing to wait extended periods of time for an appointment because of that! PATIENT BEWARE, you are but a number with them, they didn’t even ask my name in billing just account number so de humanizing!

My dad liked Dr. Gunn. So glad I was able to get him a new doctor as quickly as Encompass Medical Group did. Facility was very nice. Glad it has their own lab as well. I too am looking forward to my appointment on Tuesday with Dr. Pourakbar. Thank you all!

I have been going here for years. I would not recommend unless you have a cold. There is no follow up care when diagnosed with an issue. Went today for an issue and the doctor I had an appointment was rude. She said she could not prescribe me anything until I could get into see my primary at the same location. They use to not be like this.

Receptionists were very prompt and helpful. Dr. Gunn and his nurse Trish are the best in the business. Always friendly and knowledgeable.

I have been with this group for years and have never regretted it. The staff at the front desk are friendly, and Dr. Pourakbar is the best!

They make you wait a long time in lobby & then in the room. Total wait time 45 mins. Nurse practioner didn't listen to what I really needed & said the Dr had to see me. The Dr said " oh you could of just called for that". Now I pay an office visit to be told buy Claritin. Ugh!

Website says open at 8am to be told that no one will be here to do labs until 8: 30am update the website
