I do not recommend my nails have broken the second day with out any force and while they are doing your toes they are rough with the nail filler

I have never left a negative review of a business, especially a small business! But I was honestly really shocked with the nails I walked out of the salon with today.

This was my first time at the salon. I originally came in at 4pm as a walk-in, and was asked to come back at 5pm. No problem with that! Was happy to do it.

When I came back at 5, I had old dip nails on (from a different salon), and I asked for a removal of those, and to replace them with a gel manicure with tips.

The nail tech said if I wanted to do that, I would have to come back another time because there wasn’t enough time to do that. They said we would just have to do dip if I wanted them done today. I was confused because I felt like the dip process would take longer than a gel mani, but again not really a problem for me. Since it was my first time at the salon, I just figured they had additional steps for gel manis and didn’t think much of it.

The dip color removal and dip redo process took about an hour and a half which felt pretty standard, but I came out with my hands covered in nail glue and dip powder, and very bubbly/sandy looking nails. My final total was $60 + tip.

Overall, I was just really surprised at the whole experience and the end result. Everyone was super nice and welcoming! My tech was very friendly, and the almond shape is nice! I just felt like ultimately, what I paid did not match the quality of what I walked out with.

I was not pleased with my experience. The color on my dip nails did not match the pallet, and when I asked to fix it after the first layer on one of my hands the technician’s attitude felt dismissive. I pushed harder as it was very light/different than expected, and they would only put gel on top of my dip to fix the color. The finished nails are bumpy and not smooth. I asked for almond shape and the nails are not consistent in length, shape, and the tips on most do not come to an even point (one side of the nail is longer or more rounded than the other and are off center). I asked them to fix the shape, and they tried, but I gave up as it was only getting worse. The technician was unable to even them out. I have had the dip manicure for only 2 days, and they are already scuffing/the color is wearing off. The facility itself felt clean, but the product is not quality. I do not plan to return.

When I first came to see Tammy, my nails were destroyed from 25 years of acrylics. They were brittle and thin and couldn’t even hold acrylic any longer. Over the last year and a half she has made my nails so healthy! This is dip powder over my natural nails, and I love the way they look and feel! Highly recommend this place and Tammy?

I’ve been going here for a little over a year and they are absolutely amazing. I always get a dip set and pedicure by Li and she is fantastic, when she isn’t there i am still well taken care of. I bring my family here as well! Will always recommend Envy Nails and Spa and will continue to go here as long as I’m in the Kansas City area.

This has always been a great place for me to get my nails done! I’ve gone here many times and they always do an amazing job! Tammy is wonderful.

I came here for a simple acrylic manicure. The nail artist seemed annoyed and rushed. She didn’t cut my nails or push my cuticles back. The nails looked grown out the next day. I also had nail polish on and she didn’t remove it. Just put the acrylics right over it. They were also so bumpy and thick and all looked uneven and different lengths/shapes. She had to keep redoing stuff and going over her mistakes. I got $5 off, but overall just a bad experience because they didn’t look great when I left. Won’t go back.

I'm not one to leave a review. I'm a good tipper and dedicated to local businesses. I was so thrilled when Nail Envy opened in the River Market. It is very close to where I work. Shop is really cute and modern. The owner was bubbly and personable. The first time I went in they treated me like a queen. I received first class treatment. Every time I've gone in since, I feel like a second class citizen, like I am in the way. Everything is rushed. When I'm paying for a manicure and pedicure, I expect that there will be trimming of nails and cuticle care, but what I receive is just polish application. The whole business seems to be based on how quickly they can turn a customer. Just slap on some polish and bring the next one in! This time, I went online to schedule an appointment with no response from the shop. When I called to confirm the appointment, I learned their actual hours do not coincide with what is posted on their online scheduler. Very frustrating.

Love envy! Been going here for about a year now and they always do a great job! If you’re ever looking to get a design Tammy is your girl! 10/10 highly recommend.
