Family Cabin Restaurant reviews
15Our waitress was so bad we had to go get her twice once to get coffee creamer the. To ask for more water. It will be awhile before we go back
Our waitress was very good. She was nice and took good care of us. She kept our coffee cups full and cleared our plates. She's a older lady so maybe she's got a lot of experience. If you could rate just the waitress I would give her 5 stars.
It's cute and cozy inside.
The food is very average. It's good but not great. We got a serving of burnt hash browns. My omelet wasn't what I ordered.
I don't complain or send food back because by the time they fix it my meal is half way done.
I might try this place one more time.
We finally were up early enough to get in, had a great early lunch. They have all the menu while they are open, so you can have what you like or mix and match.
I really like pork tenderloins with gravy like a dinner, not sandwich and the one here was excellent. Great gravy. You can pick your dides, so I went with a baked potato. Wifey had great mashed potatoes. I went with baked beans she with green beans.
Also Wifey craved a pancake and waitress brought her a small one to satisfy that yearning.
Great place. Hope they can go to full hours. Because we are up late, afternoon or dinner would great. Closer to our house than any other sit down place like this.
Will be back.
I have eaten here since I was little and the people there are absolutely amazing I now know a lot of them and think of them as distant family the service is undesirablly good and the food is just as good my family and I adore it and in sure you will too
Food was excellent. But they charged me $2.79 for this little bitty bowl of gravy. That's life charging $5 for a Bud Light as far as I'm concerned and does not happen again.
This used to be our go to place. However, the quality of food and service has gone downhill the last year. They no longer carry flavored creamer for coffee, and it's hit or miss if they will have their cinnamon rolls. The one time I ordered from the lunch menu the sandwich was so dry I could not eat it. We tried to go a couple times after but they were closed, on Sundays, with no notification so we just went somewhere else. I would not recommend this place until they figure out staffing issues and work on the quality of their food.
I love the food, however I wish they would join the modern age and offer on line ordering and delivery via door dash etc.
Food was delicious and service was friendly and prompt! Will definitely go again when we are in the area and recommend it to all!
Great good old fashioned breakfast food. They were super accommodating to my request to have a menu item turned into a skillet. Food was fresh and service was great.
I mainly get the breakfast, sausage and cheese omelets with the side of gravy is great! But the biscuits and gravy are good too The waitresses no matter how busy you're always friendly the prices are decent. But you can't forget about the chicken fried chicken for dinner it is yummy. So yes I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Took my three children one morning and it was delicious! My kids ate everything on their plates which is usually unheard of. Highly recommend the B & G's!
Cabin has been one of our favorite places to go to for many years and always great food and place is so family friendly. We love going and highly recommend it!
The food was tasty! Large portions, decent price and polite service. Decor a bit outdated but is that possible with "country farmhouse"?
I have gone to family cabin for several years mainly for breakfast. I’ve always enjoyed their biscuits and gravy eggs and hashbrowns and they’ve always been very good. I go on Tuesdays especially for the turkey and dressing for lunch. It had always been excellent with a fabulous gravy. However, the last several times when I go on Tuesday, the gravy had changed to a tasteless white sauce, very often they are out of cranberries and the food is barely Luke warm.
The green beans in a small bowl on top of the plate is the only thing hot. When I specified yesterday that I want it all to be HOT, the gravy was warmer than usual but the food under the gravy is stone cold. I also have noticed lately, depending on the waitress I have, the price is different even when I order the same thing each time I go. I’m disappointed that I am making the decision to
probably not go there anymore. How sad that they have changed as it used to be so enjoyable.
