Family Care of Independence

I went to the dr a month ago to get my prescription refilled and they assured me they would send it to the pharmacy and when I needed to pick it up the pharmacy had nothing from the dr office. I had to call them again and wait on hold for 20 minutes to get anyone to answer and help me.

This place is a joke. My husband has followed Pollema around ever since his doctor retired. She just kind of took over like she's a doctor. She's worked at 3 places now. Of course she ends up back at an HCA dumphole. He had a normal check up and told her he was having pain in one leg. She said call and come back if it got worse. Well it did and he did. He waited 3 days for someone to call him back. He went back in. They do an xray and say we will call you next week. I exploded on them and one of the lazies in there wants to act like my mom and scold me. I told her don't you dare speak to me that way. You're a nobody to me. Not too mention the elevator was broke down and there were poor elderly women with canes trying to climb the stairs. I took my husband to an ER, and no not an HCA ER, and he had a blood clot in his leg. I've found my husband a private practice doctor and he WILL NOT be back to the nurse trying to play doctor. What a joke.

It was probably the quickest visit I've had in a couple of years. Of course, I didn't have anything "new" to report. And the N. P.was still very thorough and didn't feel that a blood draw was necessary.

I think these reviews are bogus. I'm not a new patient, and I have been told to see my doctor, who I have been seeing for 13 years, I would have to wait almost a year. Had to go to urgent care. I guess the care of long-time patients doesn't matter.

My husband and I love Dr Maben, she always puts you at ease, she listens attentively to everything you have to say and she explains things in words and terms that you can easily understand,
She's very friendly very thorough and she sincerely cares about the well-being of her patients

Doctor maven and doctor rotundo are very compassionate they listen to their patients and do the best care that they can they are very knowledgeable and answer very many questions that you ask they are so caring that they will Hug or bump your elbow during covid I recommend them to everybody

Everything ran very smoothly on this appointment. This was probably the quickest I have been in and out in less than an hour. I appreciate the fact that my time is as important as everyone in this office.

I am not sure how this doctors office has such a high rating. The staff is not very knowledgeable. They claim their doctors are not taking any new patients and insist that you make an appointment with one of their nurses. The nurse I see is not knowledgeable on certain medical conditions and tends to have an attitude when I make an appointment to be seen.

As well as, the person who does the blood draws; I’m not sure why she is still there. She does not seem to enjoy her job whatsoever and also has an attitude and is extremely rude.

They also tell me every single time I go in that I do not owe anything and that my insurance covers me. However, I got a letter in the mail saying I owe $20 for a co-pay from this doctor office. They told me I could just pay it when I go in for my next appointment. My next appointment was not for a few months and they sent the request for $20 co-pay to collections and now it shows up on my credit report. They will screw you over time and time again.

I definitely would not recommend.

Dr. Maben is very knowledgeable, and listens carefully to all of your questions and concerns. She and her staff are caring and courteous. It's easy to get a timely appointment, and there is never a long wait to see her.

The one on one with the doctor went well. It was afterwards that
three calls to get assistance from the nurse, only one call was returned. I had to go into the weekend with unanswered concerns

I've been going to Family Care for years. Staff and Doctors have always been so kind to me. I recommend Family Care of Independence to anyone.

Funny story. Since the practice says accepting new patience I called to schedule an appointment for a family member, keep in mind this is October 2022, they said the next appointment time was September 2023. We could all be dead by than. Don't waste people's time and be honest that you're not accepting new patients. Your doctors might not even be around in 12 months.

I fine that I can count on all the services at Family Care of Independence. They are courteous and helpful in getting me well and that they have doctors that care and know their business. I am thankful for their education and training in the medical field.

If you want a professional doc or nurse practitioner don’t make an appointment with Karen Meenan! She’s trash the vibe she gives off in that room is so in welcoming! Go somewhere else! I know we are!

Very personable staff. Doctor Maben is extremely attentive to patients' needs. Wonderful experience. Everything addressed during visit. Quite pleasant, short and to the point. Kudos!

I appreciate the office and medical staff. Everyone I have interacted with over the years for my personal and family needs have been respectful & attentive and have done their best to meet our needs. Dr. Patterson is very caring, kind, attentive, thorough, & always helpful in a professional manner.

I have been seeing Dr. Patterson for a long time a very long time and she is a very good doctor wouldn’t have chosen a better doctor she is a good listener and she always knows what to do for you and her medical assistant Jane love her too she is so good at what she does as well wouldn’t trade her for nothing in this world. And her staff is polite and kind and they always answer your questions and help you and they are always respectful and helpful love going here.
