Dr. Feinberg is a wonderful psychologist and has a great rapport with both children and parents. He has quiet, calming and reassuring demeanor. He is able to clearly explain the pros and cons of different treatment options. He never assumes a point of view but explores multiple viewpoints on different sides of an issue to get a complete picture. He is realistic in expectations and has a long successful history in this field which has allowed him develop relationships with other professionals such as pediatricians and cognitive learning specialists. Dr. Feinberg has our highest recommendation without reservation.

Our son wouldn’t meet with any other doctors/counselors. But he enjoyed visiting Dr F. Dr F has a unique way to connect with boys. We appreciate his help.

Dr. Feinberg was a great help to our family and our son. He helped us navigate ADHD and ODD issues at home as well as school, including how to communicate better with the school. He is straight-forward, kind and so calming to speak with. Not only did he give us great suggestions for hard situations, but he helped teach us how to handle them as a family on our own after our therapy ended. We’ve seen a great improvement in our son, and feel better equipped to parent both our children after having worked with Dr. F. I was feeling quite lost and disheartened with other solutions offered by other medical professionals. I feel so grateful to have found Dr. F and I highly recommend his services.

Dr. F is incredible! The evaluation process was very thorough and I appreciate that he requires more than one session to accurately assess and observe. My son was nervous the first time but by the end of the evaluation period, he really looked forward to going in and working with Dr. F. Dr. F is extremely knowledgable, personable, supportive, insightful and truly cares about his patients. He is the absolute best and I am so happy we found him.

Our son has been seeing Dr. F for the past 2.5 years. In this time, we've seen a HUGE change and improvement in how he feels, behaves and functions. It is so hard to find out that a child who is not even a teen yet is struggling so much already and this path and connection with Dr. F has given us a lot of hope. We've really appreciated his approach and how easily he connects with him. We were not ready to get a diagnosis that had us turning straight to medication but did know that was an option in the future if needed. As a result, we've, so far, avoided meds and seen our son happier and much less anxious and depressed. His separation anxiety has also almost completely gone away. He is so much more confident and the ups and downs we were experiencing multiple times a day are now so much fewer and farther between which makes life so much better for all of us. We recently reached a point where we needed to decide if he would continue his visits or take a break. We let him decide and he wanted to keep going. He talks to Dr. F about all the things now and we feel it's really beneficial as he heads into middle school. We're so glad we started earlier so we could see improvements before heading into such an emotionally tumultuous age with our son. We would recommend him any day of the week.

Dr. Feinberg helped my son over 15 years ago with his multiple issues. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, Sensory Integrative Dysfunction and ADD and I really didn't know what to do to help him socially or with school. Dr. Feinberg helped us so much: he saw him weekly throughout middle school and high school. He provided guidance for my son and myself, offered suggestions on how to cope with different situations and support when frustrating circumstances would happen. He earned my son's trust easily as well as mine through his patience and skills. I have recommended Dr. Feinberg many, many times to multiple friends and families. I am so proud of my son-I truly believe.he would not be so successful today without the help of Dr. Feinberg.
As a side note, my son was in multiple clubs in high school and participated in 2 different sports. In college, he was president of his crew team, treasurer of his fraternity, has held multiple jobs while in college and graduated college within 4 years with a double major. He has a great group of really close friends from middle school, high school and especially college. He is currently working in a laboratory while pursuing a Master's/PhD. Thank you James!

Dr F has been such a gift to our son and to our family! His laidback, nurturing manner has been a breath of fresh air. He is one of the easiest people to talk to that I have ever met. His advice is sound and he has made a huge positive impact on our son’s life.

I wish that my family had had a better experience with Dr. Feinberg since his reviews are so great. While he accurately diagnosed my son (my son already had an adhd diagnosis) but when we asked him for referrals and a path forward he apologetically told us he wasn't able to help. I am a pretty stoic person but left his office feeling defeated.

Dr F has been a tremendous asset in our son's development. He has given him a new level of confidence, and our son has blossomed as a result. Our son who naturally was shy and a little anxious about certain things but took pleasure in being with his family and friends, became withdrawn, had major separation anxiety, would not go anywhere without either my husband or I, not even to play with his friends. Dr. F was amazing with him. Our son who would not leave us quickly felt comfortable with Dr. F. In less than 6 months, he is not only back to himself, but even some of his initial anxiety is gone. Not only does he seek out friends to do stuff with, he just went to his first sleepover! Cannot recommend enough, we could all benefit from a Dr. F.

Dr. Feinberg truly sets the bar for family therapy. He has a very calming personality that allowed our pre-teen son to relax and be accepting of this new person and his treatment plans. He not only confirmed diagnosis', he explained treatment plans for both our son and us as parents in very easy to understand terms, leaving all of us with a less stressful experience and the energy to proceed with confidence. Dr. Feinberg has been an amazing resource for our family. My pre-teen son has been struggling with concerning symptoms and behaviors which have increased significantly since the beginning of the COVID pandemic. Dr. F provided a thorough evaluation over several weeks of in-person sessions. My son was immediately comfortable with him and looked forward to meeting with him each week. Dr. James Feinberg has been a long time friend who my husband and I have always admired and trusted so when we had an issue come up with my teenage step-son we immediately knew who to go to, Dr James.
