Figo's Mexican Barn reviews
13Prices wasn't same as on the menu. Table was sticky like not cleaned. Light above table gave us a sun burn the beef on nachos was very dry no flavor.beer was good. Just all around not as good as the one in Gerald
Been here a total of about 5 times now and about five times something’s been wrong.couple times foods missing or have the complete wrong order. Get back to replace it to sit there for it all to be remade again. Go in there two servers managers and at least two in the kitchen and I’m greeted with a flustered server saying if I’m here for a Togo I’m gonna have to wait cause they’re behind. Get home again and foods missing again.
Like this place is ridiculous and the portions are tiny. Not worth the hassle. Wish bourbon offered more food places.
This is a small town, mom and pop style restaurant, so don't expect big city atmosphere. Just like any other small business, they need to watch expenses and struggle to find good workers. But we've always had good food and pleasant waitresses or waiters. The building has been around for many years, so yes, it is small and seating is limited. But you need to look past the exterior and look at what really counts, the quality of the food and the people working there. You get down home Midwest cooking, so if you're looking for authentic Mexican dishes, you may want to look elsewhere. But for us local folks, or travelers looking for a good place to eat with local flair, Figos is a great place to find good food at reasonable prices and, most importantly, down home friendly folks.
Let me first say that our waitress was an absolute champ. She was super nice, apologized when needed, and was overall really great.
The problem was mainly the food, it did not have much seasoning, we waited almost an hour to get it only for it to be mostly cold. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they did seem understaffed. The wait staff really did try their best and I want to commend them for that.
Wasn't impressed at all. Waited 45 min for our food. Shrimp tasted funny and had no flavor. It's a Mexican restaurant yet there were no Mexicans even working so it's def not authentic Mexican.
Food is good service is great! Portions are great if your dining in. But if you order a to go, portions are really small definitely not worth the 16$ meal you paid for. I have ordered a few to go orders and pray everytime the portion would be right but never is. Thats a bummer! Wont be ordering to go anymore!
Waitress was new however it was not that busy table was dirty upon being seated food was cold when it finally arrived. Would not recommend. Food was less than mediocre service was sub par and it was a cramped environment inside
Drove from Owensville on a Sunday to try it out for the first time. Internet said open until 5: 00 PM. Sign on the door said open until 5 also. Door was open so we went in to be seated at 4: 05. Waitress came over and told us they were closed! People were in there eating. Will not waste my time going back EVER. Would give them zero stars on rating if I could. Against my better judgment some in our group wanted to try this place. So one year later I went back. BIG mistake. Only three tables of people in the place. Waited over an hour for our food. Food was terrible with very small portions. The kicker was that when we got our bill all of the prices they charged us were higher than menu said. When we paid and I questioned it I was told prices went up? Is that even legal to charge higher prices without telling you? If you want good service, good food at fair prices, this is NOT the place to go!
Noisy, but it is small. Food not very good. Cheese dip was so thin, it had no flavor. Fish Taco is made with frozen fish, very disappointing. Waitress was nice. Chips were broken pieces. Tea was made that morning and we arrived at 6: 45pm.
Hubby ordered table side guacamole & I had grilled shrimp. It was ok. The service was great. Little pricey for what you get.
Rice and beans were served cold to lukewarm. Rest of meal was just average. I was not impressed with their quality control.
I don't understand why this restaurant wasn't packed on a Sunday after churches were dismissed. The food is very yummy.
We enjoyed some delicious tamales
Recommended to come and enjoy all their exquisite dishes.
