Snagged a cheese and sausage flatbread and a Jai Alai IPA during happy hour. Great service and reasonable prices! Attention all Gen-Xers, there is a Galaga stand up right by the bar.

A new favorite happy hour spot in the Waldo/Brookside area of Kansas City: Flying Horse Taproom. This spot offers happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 4-6PM, 12-6PM on Friday, & all day Sunday! I ordered $5 Wells and the $6 Pepperoni Flatbread for my happy hour options.
The Flying Horse Taproom serves unbelievably delicious & fun pizza flatbread options such as Jalapeño Popper, Korean Beef, Cubano, and more. I’d recommend also ordering the appetizer sampler which has all of the top appetizer sellers: cheese curds, boneless wings, fried pickles, and loaded tator tots. There are even specials on certain days besides appetizers including $8 flatbread on Tuesday’s.

The two stout beer variations taste great, chicken wings are also good, other beers aren’t that good, but worth it to try.

Mediocre at best. The tots were fine. Service is disjointed, a joke.

Also there's a big sign out front that says two flatbreads and a house salad for 35 bucks. I went to order it and currently notified that that's only to go. Strictly enforced.

Got the arugula and prosciutto flatbread. Ingredients were sparse, arugula was wilty and the temperature was lukewarm at best.
For sure a poor design for this particular flatbread.

Went in on a whim, not disappointed but probably not going back. Kept it safe by ordering familiar foods but our wings were fried so hard we had very little meat. I did like the stuffed tots.

Took a full 2 hours to eat here on a night when it was about halfway full at the busiest. Food was fine, nothing special or unique. Just plain slow. Good beer list though.

It was awesome. I finally found a place that carries cauliflower crust. First time here, and I'll be back again. The service was great. The staff was very helpful. It's very clean. I would recommend it. Love it.

A great selection of beers and to go with it, a fantastic selection of flatbreads! The place has a nice outdoor patio and plenty of seating inside as well. The arcade machine is a nice touch and it's free to play!

Had a problem with the Flying Horse on the Independence square! Called and spoke w/Kelsey was told she would check on my complaint and get back with me! One week later NO RESPONSE. Will not support this business! If you are going to lie to your customers. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE

Awesome service and the food was great! We had a JC Pub Pass and they were in there so we decided to check it out. Will definitely go back!

Holy Moly! We won a gift certificate and finally made it over to the Flying Horse Taproom. This place was AH-MAY-ZING! We ordered cocktails and flatbread pizzas. Drinks were great, but those flatbreads, though! My husband and I could not believe how good these flatbreads were! I would highly recommend this place! Enjoy the drinks, the food, and the incredible, friendly staff!

We typically order Flying Horse for delivery and they do such an amazing job. Thank you! It’s one of our favorite local pizza/flat bread orders.

We didn't get a chance to eat here, so this review is based on service and atmosphere only. A tiny spot for trying rotating beers on tap but they also offer spirits. Staff was masked. There is space in the back to sit outside at picnic tables, in the front are covered patio tables as well as some soft outdoor seating. There is a small dedicated parking lot but also street parking nearby. Entrance is semi-accessible. Staff was friendly.

A good neighborhood bar with flatbreads and a large rotating beer list. Their outdoor spaces are particularly nice, and they have free arcade games…

Fabulous flatbreads.highly recommend trying two or three. They have a good selection of beer-on- tap but would have been great if they offered a couple different "Light" beers as part of their selections (even if just in bottles).

Will definitely visit again

My wife and I ate there last month and attended the luau on the back patio. What a treat! Great flatbread pizzas and wonderful beer selection. Make sure you stop by!
