FM MUSIC Vintage Sounds reviews
15Absolutely the best. The owner is very knowledgeable and super cool. Will definitely be going back.
Owner is absolutely a joy. Very fun store with great selection of discs, vinyls and cassettes, (mainly vintage) specially for the size
Awesome shop. Great finds for the vinyl record collector. Faron is super friendly and knowledgeable.
Don't miss this one! Absolutely charming old school record store unassumingly tucked away in North Kansas City.
Located one block south of Armour and Swift on 18th Ave, in a tan stucco flat front across from the Oxbow Apartments. There are a few parallel parking spots out front, and additional parking is available one block west off Clay Street.
Small, warm, and chock full of vinyl that has been methodically organized. They have all the classics plus endless deep cuts that will keep you browsing for hours.
The owner is friendly and helpful, and is more than happy to help you discover hidden gems you might have missed. Prices range depending on album availability, with new or rare pressings costing around $25, and a lot to choose from for less than $10. There's a small room filled with CDs, and they have a ton of fun novelty items like locally made candles and artwork.
The selection is always changing as new items are added.
If you like vinyl, you must check out FM.
This store brought me back to my childhood! I am so glad my son has found this to be one of his favorite places.
What a great record store! If you want it he has it or can get it. This is the place to go!
Good selection of vinyl and CD's. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong with stopping by and taking a look at their selection.
I like this place a lot. Great selection, great prices, everyone is nice. I brought my daughter and bought her a lava lamp. I'll come back for records and find memories.
This is a must place to go to. You could never find a better place. Farron will do whatever it takes to assist you. He will go above and beyond. Farron is so knowledgeable. I guarantee you will be happy with your experience with FM Vintage Sounds.
I read through many of the reviews and I really can't add to the truthfulness of what has already been said. You will just have to check it out this cute place for youself. What a fantastic experience. I will say one thing not mentioned. The owner pre-plays each vinyl and makes an honest quality judgement before slapping a price tag on it. What this means for the end user, is we will not have to pay top dollar because of the popularity of the album but a fair price for the quality and condition of the vinyl.
The owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his products. He also knows pretty much exactly where an album is. And if he doesn't have a record you want he will get it for you. As well as hang onto albums you want but might not be able to afford at that time. The good ol boy system.
My three kids and I went in looking for Prince DC and we didn’t find any but my son found something else. The owner were very helpful and friendly. Definitely going back again when we’re in Kansas.
This is a great record store. The owner Farron is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable in various genres of music. His store has a wide variety of new and used vinyl at fair prices. If you haven't checked it out I highly recommend you do
Top notch service and a great selection highlight this relatively small shop. Both of the gentlemen I've dealt with there really have a lot of knowledge, and treated me very well. If you're a vinyl collector this is definitely one of the best spots in Kansas City to visit.
It may not be as large as some of the other used record stores but it has the absolute best selection in the city. Very friendly staff, as well. Good records, good prices and great conversation.
