Focus Dental Studio reviews
17 Morning: Thank-you for allowing me to be a patient at Focus
Dental Studio. I am in the process of finding a dental doctor,
who is in Anthem network and who has implant experience.
Thank-you for your time and consideration.
Arthur Maddock
Best dentist I've been to in years! I had to have a crown, and recently found out that they're able to make one in the office now. Very pleasant surprise! Dr. Rissler and her fabulous team, have always taken excellent care of me and my dental needs.
Dr. Rissler @ Focus Dental reached out to me over the weekend when my own dentist's out-of-office voicemail did not work. I was scheduled shortly thereafter for her analysis of my tooth and gum issue. She promptly diagnosed the issue and put me in contact with a specialist. Very much appreciated and duly noted!
Dr. Rissler and Ashley made my dental appointment seamless and they're very affable. As someone (probably much like yourself) I don't enjoy dental work, but their friendly personalities changed my mind. I highly recommend coming here.
Wonderful service from front desk, hygienist to Dentist! Hygienist did a thorough job and explained what she was doing. Dentist explained options for overall health of teeth and gums!
Awesome dentist’s office. Yolanda at the front desk is amazing. Great communication, super friendly when I checked in. My hygienist Brittany was thorough and really fun. Dr Rissler was easily the nicest dentist I’ve ever had - she took my questions seriously and was actually personable, unlike my interactions with previous dentists.
Great atmosphere. Friendly painless professional treatment. Attentive staff. Looking for great dental care? Focus dental is the place.
Awesome dental, very friendly staff and was really helpful by putting my crown back that felt out
By far my favorite and best dental experience after 12 years of living in Springfield! The friendly staff and dentist who remember details about me after each visit have also given me the least-painful fillings and most thorough cleanings in my dental history! Grateful for them.
The dentist, her assistants and the receptionist were professional and very kind. I highly recommend them!
I’m so glad to be back at this place, now that my insurance changed. Everyone is super friendly. They are also very thorough at what they do.
They were able to get me in on very short notice for a dental emergency on a Saturday. I can’t explain how grateful I am for them!
The entire staff was quite patient with me and my dental anxiety during my first visit. They helped to put me at ease as we made a plan to move forward.
I had my first visit only 2 days ago, I don't think I've ever met a more welcoming staff ever. Looking forward to my future visits.
Super welcoming and very nice! The girls did a nice job and made me feel very comfortable. 10/10 recommended.
On the pro side, the staff is courteous and friendly, the open hours allow for a more flexible schedule, and its usually pretty easy to schedule an appointment
On the con side, non of the pros make up for the severely sub-par standard of care. Every appointment feels like a severe rush to get you out the door as fast as humanly possible, and getting any actual face time with the doctor is nearly impossible. If you have any questions about your care, you likely wont have a chance to get them answered. Thats all bad enough, but making it even worse is the fact that when you try to rush through things as fast as possible, things inevitably get missed
In my case, a discolored tooth was ignored, by the doctors own admission, until it deteriorated to the point that it was causing severe pain and required a much more expensive root canal and restoration. At no point was the problem tooth ever identified as even a potential problem, despite being bad enough that both the endontist i was referred to and the dentist i switched my primary care to were able to see issues within seconds of looking at an xray
Maybe the normal standard of care is fantastic, and i was just the unlucky 1 in 1000 who had an issue, but frankly, gambling like that is unacceptable with health concerns. As it is, im now on the hook for $2k worth of dental work that likely couldve been a lot less had the problem been identified sooner, to say nothing of avoiding the time off work for additional dental appointments, pain the infection caused, and courses of antibiotics. There are other dentists in the city, and i suggest using them instead
Edit - After requesting my medical records, i was told that i needed to come into the office to sign a release form. Upon getting to the office, i was halfway through signing said release form when the good doctor decided to ambush me to call me a liar for posting a review and tell me i was threatening her business and it wasnt fair. Suffice to say, if i could remove star from a one-star review, this would motivate me to. Seriously, find a different dentist
