Forest Hill & Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City MO

The upkeep of the cemetery is absolutely atrocious. I'm very disappointed and upset of how the headstones, and grounds are being maintained. I was there yesterday and today TRYING to find my families graves and was uncovering more headstones from the clippings than I care to admit. Then I saw a pile of flowers, ribbons, crosses and such from the graves that were in a pile by one of the roads. There were also downed limbs and branches just piled up on someone's grave. Something needs done and better maintenance and upkeep for sure.

My mom passed away September 25,2021 and it is September 2,2023 and her gravestone has finally come in.

Huge cemetery. They aren't necessarily buried with family blocks, which makes it nearly impossible to find family members, especially if they've married or changed their name in any way.

My parents are buried there in the mausoleum. My mother died 4 years ago and her date is still not on her stone. Very disappointed.

Absolutely disgraceful! It's a year since my father has been buried and he still has not received a headstone regardless of all the calls I've made! Today I called yet again, and the employee Sydney who answered the phone said no one had ever approved the order and that she pressed a button and now it is ordered! A year later! I was told the day he was buried that the headstone was ordered! I have called and asked to speak with managers and they keep telling me management is gone and when I asked for corporate's contact information and the owners contact number they said they didn't have it! The headstone was prepaid and cost $485 and nearly 1 year later my father still doesn't have it. This is disgraceful! This is horrible and I am ready to contact my attorney and the Missouri Attorney Generals office!

If there was an option to give this place zero stars I would. My grandfather passed away almost a year ago in September 2022. They promised us that they would get his headstone within 6-8 weeks. However, speaking with my mother she had told me that they just ordered the headstone 3-4weeks ago? To me this is unacceptable, and from reading the reviews of this place, this seems to be a common occurrence. Totally unprofessional and disorganized on there part. I am absolutely angered that is has been close to a year and yet he doesn’t have his headstone. My grandfather was a great man and he deserves better.

This place is a dump. Grave markers settled in the ground covered up by weeds not grass more weeds there then grass. You can barely see a lot of the markers. Trees down on the ground they had some of the paper work messed up. Not maintai ned

I recently lost my mother and I met with Lynda at Forrest Hill who has made this process so easy. She provided me with several options for plots and took the time to show me where my loved one would be located. We have also ordered a headstone.

Lynda is very personable and provided exceptional communication throughout the process. My family was very pleased with how clean the grounds were and how friendly the staff was on the day of my mothers funeral.

In a time that of sadness, this simply process has given me a reason to smile. I can’t say enough great things about Lynda. She is truly extraordinary and it has been a please to work with her. I have referred this establishment to everyone who needs to make final arrangements. Thank you Lynda and staff, your hard-work does not go unnoticed.
