Fox and Pearl, Kansas City MO

We sat at the bar and the bartender was more then excellent. The place won in ambiance, the drinks were uniquely created with passion. The menu tastey, supporting their local favorites. The restaurant does offer cellar seating which oozed romance. TRY IT OUT

Had a great experience along with phenomenal food and drinks! You cannot go wrong with any of the small plates. We had 3 this time plus our main dishes. Desserts aren't much but all their main dishes and small plates will leave your tummy doing the happy dance!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we had reservations for the fox and pearl at 6pm on October 28. We called two weeks ahead to make sure and secure our reservation. We arrived and walked up to the door and there was a sign out front, “closed for private event”. Pretty frustrating since it was 6pm on a Saturday in downtown Kansas City and finding another nice place wasn’t going to happen. So we left and celebrated our wedding anniversary eating a sandwich with a delicious bag of chips. Thank you Fox and Pearl for the wonderful memories we will add to our Anniversary. Hopefully one day we will get a chance to try it out because we have heard it’s really good. Might be a bit because our first experience left a bitter taste in the mouth.

I had my 30th birthday dinner here this past weekend and it was such a dream! Our server was so sweet and amazing. The food was to die for, I recommend their grilled chicken wings and fried green tomatoes if you have the chance to check out this season's menu! It was such a beautiful space and is definitely a gem of Westside. Thank you so much for taking care of us!

Fit me in a last minute birthday night with no reservation. They snuck is into the bar and had a champagne toast waiting & a happy birthday note!

First off, very delicious. We ordered several appetizers to try a little bit of everything. I would def recommend the fried green tomatoes. We also split the ox tail. This was cooked perfectly. The house cocktails were also top notch.

Came for my husband’s birthday in September with two teens in tow. Loved the quaint, cozy atmosphere. Food was great, wings and shared plates made our picky eater happy. Our server made excellent recommendations. We tried things that we wouldn’t have normally ordered and we were pleasantly surprised. I also appreciated how how the staff reached out about parking and accommodations for our son who uses a wheelchair. Great experience, we’ll be back!

If you’re looking for a high-end, non-vegetarian meal, this is your place. The food is consistently, creative and interesting, and never boring in any way. We had a fascinating dinner, and every dish that I was able to try was tasty and different from anything that I had tried before. My only complaint with this place would be that the portions are a little on the small side, and so sometimes I have to have a snack after dinner and before bed. The service was perfect, and the atmosphere was fun and lively.

This was my third visit to Fox and Pearl and I’ve been so so happy every time! The duck breast I had on this visit was absolutely perfect, the skin was so crispy and delicious and the potatoes and cabbage perfectly complemented it. I had a crisp orange wine from Meinklang, which was also delicious.

It ain't my usual kind of place but the food and service was great. My sister didn't tell me about her friend who had another friend that showed up making our 4 top a 6 top last minute. Staff was more than accommodating.

Three of us ordered the breakfast biscuit because there wasn't a brunch menu. The biscuit was huge, hard and barely edible. The pork belly on it was so small it was less than a third of the size of the biscuit, a tiny amount of cheese and about a teaspoon of BlackBerry jam. No side came with it. The mimosa had a weird sour taste. Pretensious food not worth the ridiculous price. Waiter got the bill wrong not once but twice. Never going back.

Items were incorrectly put on my bill from a table split. The waiter took it back and adjusted it - still wrong but closer and I said whatever. The other diner just paid me cash.

What a treat! Excellent food! We tried this place while visiting KC for our anniversary. Left wondering “how did they do that? ”

Have gone exploring for restaurants I haven't been to in KC. I love this place. The atmosphere is amazing. My fire roasted ribeye was delicious. People at the table also tried the half roasted chicken which i tasted and it was superb and the wings were also tried with fantastic reviews. Plan to go back and try some more items off the menu. A lot of their food is local grown.

Staff were so lovely, beverage menu was great, and the vibe was awesome. The food just didn’t do it for me and left me feeling disappointed to be honest but maybe it’s just because of my ordering - my main was the pork chop (apparently their popular dish) and then chocolate tart for dessert. Both were conceptually great but just didn’t hit the mark for me.

I found the pork chop way too big, dry, and not enough of the corn, sauce, and greens. Great smokiness though!

The chocolate tart was also too dry but the peanut butter elements were great.

For the amount I paid, I think there are better places around but great for drinks and maybe some other dishes may have been better!

Fantastic! We decided to take our time and try a bit of everything. We ordered the tomato salad, potted cheese, foie sausage, and chicken wings to share. I had never had Quark before and was surprised at how deliciously cheesy it was and how well it went with the tomatoes and bright dressing. Every bite of the sausage elicited a “mmmm” sound from each of us. To save any redundancy I’ll just say that everything else exceeded our expectations and was just as well cooked and seasoned as you would want it to be. I highly recommend and will be back the next time we are in KC.

Visited for Sunday BBQ brunch and ordered the two meat platter ($23) with the brisket and sausage. There was an up charge for the brisket. The meats were both exceptional but I think I preferred the sausage over the brisket. The brisket was served as a single quarter inch cut, the fat was melty but the meat was slightly dry. The polenta side was kinda bland, maybe it needed a little more salt? The jalapeño slaw was great and went well with the meats. I didn’t understand the crispy tortillas as a side, others in our party had tortillas that were soft, mine wasn’t and it didn’t go well with the meats.
