Fox & Hounds Tavern reviews
12This place is awesome, the food, drinks, and service all top notch! The only down side was they were out of a menu items on an already small menu.
I REALLY love the cozy tavern feel. The drinks were just okay, but the atmosphere, service, and food were all really good, so this still gets 5 stars. We got fish and chips and Shepard's pie.
Unique, old-world moody vibe with top-notch drinks. It feels like you are in a speakeasy tavern in 'Downton Abbey'. A whimsical place in the middle of St Louis.
Service was quick, friendly, and easy. Fantastic spot for cold winter nights by the fire
I really like this place. Hospitality was great. Menu could be expanded but the service was great and the selection was a wide range of different taste. This place is really good if you are looking to be in a chill atmosphere. Potential can be greater if some passion was put into the spot.
I have yet to see the coziness of this traditional English Pub aesthetic matched anywhere else in St. Louis. Very small space though, so try to time your visit accordingly.
Such an amazing atmosphere with top-notch drinks. A really special place – I'm excited to spend cozy winter nights by the fire here for many years
Atmosphere is first and foremost here, really unlike any bar I’ve been to before. Definitely cozy and moody, and seating can become scarce quick if there’s a crowd, but the food is tasty and the drinks get the job done.
Tiny, and was crowded, but great selection, knowledgeable friendly staff with good service
It has been a lifelong goal to go to a bar that I had to pull a book so a secret entrance opens that I can go in. That alone is a five-star rating but the bartender was so polite so knowledgeable it has a great atmosphere I will be going back tonight!
Not at all sure what Charles Barner was talking about in his 1-star review, but I'VE NEVER SEEN/EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE WHAT HE POSTED when I've stayed at the Cheshire. He doesn't seemed to have reviewed The Fox & Hound at all.
Really can’t beat it. Dark and cozy, no matter the season or time of day, it is like a dark English pub in there. Warm, bustling, intimate, all at once.
