Friar Tuck Beverage, O'Fallon MO

This is a regular destination for me because it is closer than any other comparable store. Good selection of ciders, wines and liquors, although on my last visit I was disappointed to find that they no longer carry the Peruvian citrus liqueur called Pisco. I don't know it for a fact but I get the impression that this store has less staff than a total wine location. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful.

Very cluttered and seemingly understaffed for the season. Hate to see that but understandable considering how hard it is to find good workers. Usually find what I am looking for, but sometimes really have to look hard to find it

Went there to see what kind of liquor they have and what are their prices close to what I would pay at Wal-Mart with way more selection then Wal-Mart

I kinda feel like it's they don't have it, you don't need it. Impressive selection of wines, beers, and liquors. Super helpful staff that was able to help me get exactly what I wanted.

Wide selection, but a little worried when they advertise a certain beer as a six pack and the "beer" manager didn't have any 6 pack, but a 4 pack.

As I checked out, I discovered it was a special I could mix beers to make the 6 pack.

Always have what I needed. Close to home. There is a huge selection of wine, beer, and spirits. I would give them 5 stars if the staff assisted more. From my experience, I always have to go ask for help, and staff is constantly on there smart phones, but 4 stars ain't bad! Thrrrrp

Super selection of just about anything anyone could want. Clean store though I don’t feel overly welcomed by associates.

Great selection, I'm a fan of tequila and there wasn't much to choose from, but I'm am even bigger fan of wine and they had quite an impressive selection!

Upon visiting this place, I thought it was pretty cool. However, the employees were so busy mixing and drinking the alcohol in the store that they weren't very helpful. I asked them 3 times what drink was they were tasting and was ignored 2 of the 3 times. They were so busy talking to each other about how great this "root beer float" concoction was that they would barely answer our questions. I asked how much something costs because it wasn't marked and was answered with "I don't know". The prices were more expensive here than other places in the area, so I expected better service. I understand places mixing drinks as samples to guests, but when guests aren't offered a sample while the employees are drinking large glasses of the inventory and ignoring said guests, something seems a bit off.
This visit was March 18th, 2022 (around 8: 30 pm).
One employee tried NOT to take the alcohol beverage because he claimed he didn't like root beer but the others pressured him and pressured him to drink with them. Is this company policy?

I don't have enough money or time to explore all the selections here. Idk why there aren't more of these liquor stores across the country!

Best liquor store I've ever been inside. About 3 times larger than the Edwardsville location. Bought a 4pk of Dino Smores that I didn't enjoy but that's on me for trying something new at a high price.

Was hoping to find some English beers, but selection was extremely limited. Lots of Belgian beers and a huge range of beers available, just not the ones I was looking for

Reciept# 06011201A0A000 - - Was charged for 2 "RUM" and -. -. - 5 bottles of Liquor when only 4 bottles were in the bag when I left.need to educate the cashier. Cost me $15 more (plus tax) - - This will be the first and last time I shop "Friar Tuck" in OFallon, MO.

A good variety of merchandise, no personalized help available, only cashiers. But with the way the merchandise is arranged, it's not too difficult to find what you want.

I’m extremely disappointed in this stores ability to maintain their posted hours and to be honest about it. I pass through STL on my way to and from visiting family for Christmas and like to shop all STL has to offer.
12/23 - scheduled to open at 9… actually opened at 10: 00
12/27 - CALLED AHEAD to confirm they’d be open until 7… arrived at 6: 07 to locked doors while they are emptying the cash registers.

In the 5 minutes we were there least 5 other people drove up and got out of their cars expecting them to be open. Pretty lousy way to make money, IMO. On future trips through Saint Louis I will take a different route to find a more reliable store.

Always have new things to try and the staples i hold deer. I do wish they would get some mini carts or something though. You need extra hands on larger trips.
