If you decide to get a membership there, make sure to read the small print! You’ll be locked on a contract forever there! They will tell you you can downgrade your membership at any time. Then you’ll have a signed contract showing it. Then they will charge you another month and a 100 fee. There will be a 39 processing fee for each person added to your membership - when you first get the membership they only say that it cost 15/month for any additional person. And then there will be another fee to keep you membership the same amount. And so fourth and so on. If you try to call to talk to someone you’ll wait in line forever. If you email maybe you’ll get someone to reply your email 2-3 days later. And of course, all the amenities listed on the website are not present in every location. A planet fitness membership will get you more and less headaches.

Let me just say, Bentley, was so professional and welcoming. (Give him a raise) This was my first time at this location, however Iv been with the club for 6 years. This location on boardwalk is fantastic!

Always clean, the trainers, floor staff & daycare staff are all amazing! 50/50 experience every single time I come work out. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a new home gym.

Great gym for variety! The gym is a bit small but has everything you need for a good workout. Weights, cardio, dancing, personal trainers. The membership is reasonable and you can get free classes like Zumba and cycling with the membership. Cleaning can be better. Some equipment is dusty.

Variety of great classes with amazing instructors. If you are looking for a personal trainer, Nick is great to work with. He’s knows what he’s doing and super friendly.

Update: had an issue with them in terms of canceling my membership. Didn’t like how the staff handled me but Jesse Medina intervened and rectified everything really quickly. I had a good experience with what was done to help.

Hands down best gym around! Friendly staff with trainers always willing to help and answer any questions you have. Management and front desk are always attentive and welcoming!

Super easy onboarding process and a great selection of fitness classes for beginners. Brandon was super helpful and they try to educate you so you’re not intimidated. Happy to begin my journey!

I'm on a 6 month trial period and I'm gone once it's over with. The equipment is all jailhouse trash. Some machines either have rotten cracked padding or zero padding at all. I went to another location in Liberty, MO and it was in just as bad of shape. I don't require 5 star amenities but for what they ask people to pay you think they would offer better than junk.

I like this Gym, the staff is friendly and helpful. I like that it’s open majority of the time almost 24hrs. Very convenient for a person with a busy schedule.

I have really enjoyed working with the personal training staff here. They genuinely care about their members and clients.

The gym is clean! And they have my favorite flavor of Amino Energy.

I travel a lot and workout at numerous gyms such as Chuze in NM, Crunch in NV, and 24 in CA, Genesis Health clubs surpass them all in cleanliness, availability, over 15 locations in the KC area, and overall equipment. I highly recommend this club.

Genesis Gym has been fantastic for our whole family! We just started but am looking forward to all their great amenities for our whole family. Thanks so much for helping us all be as healthy as we can be!

I have had a membership for a while. They offer classes. One of them was puppy yoga with the puppies from petland. It's definitely worth looking into. I brought my husband up here and now he's got a membership. I love this on it it's very clean nice environment.

This was my first time at this location and it was great a really subtle and friendly environment I didn’t feel intimidated or nervous to work out I felt like I could workout and mind my business!

Called on the phone to ask about the day pass, was told the first day is free and it’s 15 after. When I checked in they told me I had to pay since I wasn’t from the area, not a huge deal but definitely lame expecting to not pay then being told to be paid, and 15 for a day pass is pretty steep for a gym like this. I’ve paid less for day passes at powerlifting gyms with very specialized equipment. Once I got in, the dumbbells felt a bit lighter than most, and they didn’t have some of the equipment I asked about on the phone and all of the bars had really weak and faded kneeling. The saving grace is the large cable machine station, it had a lot of options but overall not a great gym experience. I don’t think I’ll be back even if it was free

I am new to Genesis Health club Boardwalk. The personal training sessions with Matt are very effective. The staff is very welcoming and I am very satisfy that I picked this location to start my healthy life journey.

Great place, clean and make you motivated all the time. Nick is our personal trainer he’s amazing actually gets you in the mood, encourages you to be at the perfect shape and level.
