Park is beautiful but the fishing is average. A ton of white bass and carp. Just keep an eye out for the large black bear that frequents the back side of the lake.

I love everything about this park except the ped0s who swarm the place making it unsafe for women, young adults, and children to be there. I’ve never in my life experience so many men, 50+ years old, trying to finesse and lure me into the cars or onto their boats. When you decline they get violent. I’ve had to call the Fenton Police, they did nothing even though I got a picture of their plates, what a shocker.

I really like this park for the water entry. I paddle board, so there is a nice lake like area before going into the river. It's usually quite peaceful. I would give it 5 stars, but I'm biased about engine powered boats that are allowed on the river.

On my particular visit, it mostly rained the entire time, but it was ok with us because we could still picnic and sit outdoors thanks to their covered tables.

Second time I've been here once was I say 20 some years ago. I'm a rock collector I had my paddle board and did not take a bucket for rocks I was utterly shocked at the rocks are gorgeous there couldn't wait to get home to clean them but I had such a good time paddle boarding out there I am bound to go out there quite often. It was peaceful nobody bothered there was boats on the water or jet skis they did not bother us on the paddle boards. There's people partying and picking on the banks I do believe the party was a birthday party for a little girl. But other than the day was beautiful and I can't say nothing better but to enjoy yourself at this park I would highly recommend this park for anybody

Been coming since I was a kid. Would be great if they cleaned up the beach and brought back the floating dock.

Awesome fishing spot in the STL area. Bring some shoes you don't care about if you are shore fishing. It gets pretty muddy.

Tip - the gar in the little pond like area up front love roosters

Used to be a really nice park now it seems Fenton and St. Louis county have given up on it due to repeated floods

Not much going on at George Winter Park these days. The boat ramps aren't useful unless the water is high. It's an ok place to park to ride or walk on the Meramec Greenway.
