Was cheated out of 10 Fire Wheel Indian Blanket Flower Plants. I've emailed and called repeatedly and have gotten no one to answer at all. I fortunately have my order invoice that clearly shows they where BOGO. I'll be visiting the Better Business Bureau and lodging a complaint shortly after I leave this review.

Don’t buy bulbs from this company. The quality is poor and they don’t stand behind their products. I only wish I had read the reviews before spending $144 on bulbs.
1/3 didn’t flower and some didn’t even emerge. The ones that did flower are of such poor quality - small and few leaves, rare brief flowers.

I tried to give them a long time to finally flower, but they didn’t. When I contacted the company they said it was too late. They were fall planted spring bulbs, and I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt.

They said “have a blessed day” and blocked me from their Facebook page so I can’t comment - I was holding off on commenting on social media because I expected them to stand behind their products. And now they’ve blocked me from their Facebook page so I can’t even see the page let alone comment.

Buy bulbs elsewhere.

I have found my new online plant store! I ordered 20 some hostas and then read the reviews after the fact. I was a little nervous after reading the reviews that I may have made a mistake. I am super impressed with the plants that I received. They were packaged very, very well. I also printed pictures of each hosta that I ordered to make sure that I received the correct plants. Every single one of them were correct and they are very healthy plants. There was 1 out of the bunch that has a little yellow on the ends (I only mention this as someone might see it in the picture and think that it is not healthy). The plant itself is very healthy and nothing that would concern me at all. I would definitely recommend this company. Thank you for the beautiful hostas!

Do not order plants from them - customer service is terrible. They sold me a hosta that was not in stock. While they refunded me for the cost of the hosta I did not receive, they did not refund the shipping costs and refused to send me a different hosta even though I offered to pay the difference. It would cost more than I originally paid to obtain the same number of hostas. I won’t order from here again.

Buyer beware!
We ordered 20 hostas, $8.95 each. Some were an inch tall, some were 6” tall, and full of bugs. Plus the shipping box was not properly packed, although they stated they can’t help what happens after the box leaves their facility. Being in the moving business, I’m was surprised it made it to our business with any square corners. Also, I could have returned them on my dime, really!

I ordered 100 bare root hostas from Gilbert H Wild and Sons. The shipment came very fast (cross country!). The hostas were very large with extensive root systems. After a short water soak, I planted the hostas. It's only been six days and about half of the hostas are already showing sprouts. The hostas were very good quality and I appreciate the value in ordering from Gibert H Wild. Recommended!

I ordered 20 bare root hostas, 2 day lillys and a lady Fern. All arrived healthy and I now have 21 beautiful hostas and 10 gorgeous day lillys my fern is growing and beautiful! I would order again.

I received 3 iris in April. One immediately died. I called and emailed customer service and was told they would credit my account, instead of just sending me an iris,
which does me no good as I already spent $10 on shipping and additional on tax. I would have to spend additional money on shipping and tax to use the credit. I won't be ordering from them again as they don't stand behind their product and customer service is inadequate.

Shorted my 4 hostas on my order.
They were buy one get one free. They didn't bother to tell me when they pulled the order, they just put a note on packing slip, claiming a crop failure & they are issuing me a credit. (My guess that X fungus, as it's hard to kill hostas. Point is watch any hostas you buy from them this year. If it's this disease it will wipe out your entire hosta garden.)
So I called them, asked if theirs another buy one get one free I can replace with & they said not in that size hosta. (So NO!).
I found a hosta that was very similar in price (25¢ more) but it as not a buy one get one free, they won't honor the bogo purchase in any form.
I spoke to the manager, she claimed they didn't know until they pulled my order. Today is April 28th & they printed the shipping label on the 26.
When they confirmed my order on April 17th via email, they had already removed the specific hostas from my order.
They start shipping early to mid March, but the manager claims they didn't know of the crop failure until they pulled my order, yah right! I guess nobody else order any hostas that would have shipped a month ago or before mine order was pulled.

Fyi, I placed my order on March 1st, I guess they don't watch their fields and treat accordingly, because they lost a entire crop according to them.

In the end I don't recommend buying from them. Clearly they have trouble managing their business.

I ordered the 50 hosta bare root MIXED bundle. I received them and I went by directions to plant. I planted them and then a cold snap hit in Alabama. We had a longer blackberry winter than usual, but they did finally take off. They are beautiful and growing like crazy, but they are all the same kind. I ended up with only 2 plants that are different than the rest. That was disappointing. Hopefully they reproduce quickly. I recommend this nursery.

I ordered a dozen Nepeta/Catmint plants to do a border. The plants that arrived were about 2 inches tall and half were starting to turn white/brown. No idea if they will live - but this is not going to look good this year for sure. I probably wasted over $100 on this order. I won't be back!

I completely understand some dissatisfactions in negative reviews, because everything and everywhere can't be perfect. I was purchasing from this company in 2018 and don't completely remember the degree of my satisfaction that time, but since I didn't write a bad review, it means everything was OK:) I received my new order a few days ago. The lilies, daylilies, irises were very healthy and fresh, packed with care and went directly to the ground. The irises are already ~ 10 inch leaves, I was very pleasantly surprised. In future, if I will want these particular flowers I received this time, I will buy only from this company.

Bought 8 Peony roots last year. Only 2 lasted a second season, 4 never sprouted and none have yet to bloom. They print QUALITY GUARANTEE on EVERY page of their sale circular, but they DON'T say it's ONLY 7 days from receipt of order and they require pictures within that time frame - and an overall 45 day guarantee - (a time frame during which no one could possibly know if a root is going to produce). When you email then about the problem, they basically tell you to go fly a kite. WILL NEVER order ANYTHING from this AWFUL company again.
Should have spent a few dollars more and bought existing plants from a local TRUSTED nursery.

Now that the company has seen the review, they are suddenly willing to speak. NO THANK YOU. YOU WERE GIVEN EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE AND REFUSED.

I have been ordering from Gilbert H Wild for years. I have over 35 dailies. They always sent awesome plants.
Last year I ordered a white spider Lily and it came in sad shape and died. This early year I ordered two more of them. I
Just receivedthemand they are awful

I ordered Muhly grass and was so dissapointed when I opened the box. They looked half dead. I posted a review here and they responded asking me to email them so they could help me. I deleted my review to give them a fair shot at making things right. Its been at least 10 days since that email and no response so here I am again. I did go ahead and plant them in hopes they may come back. These things were so root bound I had to cut the pots off of them as well as the roots just so i could break up the concrete like soil This company proved to be a huge dissapointment.

Purchased 15 peony roots (3/5 eye size) in September and they were delivered today (October). All were huge, even the one 2/3 eye root I purchased was quite large. They were all well packaged with shavings and adequate moisture and clearly labeled. These are priced much better than many other online nurseries, especially considering the larger root sizes. Will definitely purchase again.
