Ginger Sue's reviews
13Wish I could rate this 0 stars. Not only is the food inedible, the staff is incredibly rude! Over priced. Will NEVER go back. I'm sure that no one at the restaurant even cares that people are unhappy and don't want to return. The attitude is apparent!
This place is always good. We came during Pancake week and had the best pancakes they were huge so we shared them with the table. I got an omelet that was deliscious and the breakfast potatoes I couldn't stop talking about:)
A great place to start your day. The waitress was friendly and joyful. The menu is straight forward as it has many common American breakfast dishes. The Salmon Benedict and Ginger’s Classic were both delicious. The potatoes that they came with were hot and fluffy. If you like First Watch (another Missouri breakfast chain), you will likely also enjoy Ginger Sue.
My husband and I went for breakfast to this amazing restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the food is very good. I had their signature apple cinnamon oatmeal and toast and he opted for an omelet. Both were excellent. Especially like the coffee at Ginger Sue’s serves, it has an excellent robust flavor but yet isn’t too harsh. I highly recommend visiting.
Went to this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend. They have given us many different recommendations in the past that turned out to be wonderful, unfortunately this was not one of the times. The place was very cute from the outside and was clean on the inside. The menu looked promising with many options to choose from including some specials. We were sat under a fan that was making us very cold and when asked if we could turn the fan off was told no. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time from when we ordered and looked good. My daughter got the eggs benedict but wasn't a fan as the hollandaise sauce was broken and the English muffin was on the sweet side. My wife got a crab omelette and the crab meat was cold and placed on top. My son and I ordered the gravy omelette and it was good. We got a cinnamon roll pancake to go with the meal and it was good, not great. Overall I would say this place is average. If I was in the area I might try it again but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here. I believe there are other locations, maybe I will try one of those next time.
Our server was great.
I had biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes.
My wife had the tenderloin.
Both were good, I'm not a huge pepper gravy guy, but Ginger Sue's was very good in spite of my preference.
Potatoes definitely were not my thing. A little "try hard", as they say in video games, with the seasoning. My preference is to go very old fashioned with salt and pepper, and these particular potatoes did not overcome my personal preference like the biscuit and gravy were able to.
My wife said she liked the tenderloin. That's it. She had no problem speaking up when food is bad, so this is a good thing. Safe spot to take the "I don't care, pick something" dinner companions.
Will go back. Service is always a main contributor to my choice to return or forgo to a restaurant. They earned another shot at my money.
Great homestyle cooking, and has a great small-town atmosphere. Always get good service as well.
Best breakfast spot to go with friends, family, or alone. Exceptional food and exceptional staff!
I love Ginger Sue's! The food here is fantastic. I tried the Aloha Omlette and it was heaven in my mouth. Great place for a quick bite or to have a meeting. Staff is friendly as well. 10/10 recommend for breakfast or lunch (or brunch)!
I ordered a basic breakfast from their menu which was limited. The eggs were still gooey and not even cooked. Will never go back there again.
This was a gravy scramble.it literally looked like this when I got it. Hardly no meat in it.the potatoes were super dark and old tasting or reheated. I threw it away.after one attempted bite.
Very good food. Two complaints: they put mushrooms is almost every dish, and the coffee tasted like they simply added a new brew to yesterdays leftover coffee. Good customer service and very cute location.
So impressed with the quality. By far, the best eggs benedict I've ever had. The pancakes were a little dense but super big and filling. Gravy was too peppery for me but that is how it is advertised! Oh the breakfast potatoes were also delicious; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm big on sauces and they made sure to put those in the bag (it's the little things). Honey mustard and ranch were very good. I have to make excuses not to order from here every day. You can tell they care about their customers, in a world where customer service is.lacking. Thank you guys.
