Gioia's Deli reviews
20Wow! Uh-maaazing sandwiches! Tried the hot salami, roast beef, and meatball sandwiches and allllll were amazing. The bread was crispy but soft and the meats were seasoned so well. Hot salami and roast beef were super solid but that might have been the best meatball sub I've ever had. My girlfriend doesn't like sandwiches but she couldn't stop talking about the meatballs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The roast beef sandwhich was phenmonal! The staff was amazing as well, Tony went above and behind to make the experience a 10/10
Amazing 100+ years of great sandwiches. This was my first visit. Friendly staff. Sandwiches were made true deli style with loaded meat. If you are in St Louis, check out this place.
**We used restrooms across street at public park, none in restaurant. One-way street area.
Most likely the best sandwich shop, anywhere. Haven't been in a while but everytime I go to Schnucks I get their frozen pizza, I don't know what kind of wizardry they use to make it taste like it does!
Did you know that you can go in here and order just a big pile of salami? I did that today, took it home, and am going to have amazing meal variations all week. I'm so excited. This is the best salami I have ever had. I'm so grateful to live nearby Gioia's. The redheaded person working the cash register today was so friendly and positive. I had a hard day, and their attitude made me feel much better. There's so much good in the world. Good people, and good meat!
Total classic. This is a priority stop for visitors of St. Louis and a priority regular stop for the natives such as myself. That salami sandwich slaps harder than Adrian Peterson slapped his kid
Outstanding sandwiches (my favorite is the Porknado). There can be a line, and there are limited tables, all outside; so getting there early is a plus if you're not taking it elsewhere. Great selection of non-Frito Lay's chips to match to sandwiches.
Can never get enough of Gioia's! After eating here you drool just thinking about it it is so good!
My favorite is the Spicy Daggett. Half a sandwich will fill me for the rest of the day.
An awesome neighborhood deli - simplicity at it's finest! The service is fast and friendly but arrive a little early because there's always a line. Like other good mom& pop spots, indoor seating is limited and some tables are against the line to order. Fortunately there's a decent number of outdoor seats now and there's often open picnic tables at the park across the street. This is my favorite deli in St. Louis (tied with Blues City Deli), I only wish I found myself in the area more often.
This place is far worse then all the other delis, how are people liking this place! They don’t have good sandwiches at all! They have nothing fresh
Damn good sandwiches. Long lines. Only thing I didn't really like was the meatball, maybe I'll try it again. But Hot salami is too good to pass up
The best sandwich in town! Pick your own condiments and ingredients and cheese. We drive from North County to the South side for this delicious sandwich and it is worth the gas and mileage. Great job! Friendly staff!
There is only one thing I can tell you, and that is to get the salami, on garlic bread, the way they serve it and you won’t be disappointed. It’s crazy good…. Like seriously good.
The food is great. The employees are super friendly and real know and care about the restaurant and even the neighborhood. I'm visiting from it of town and Gioia's is well with going out of your way to.
Other than seeing all my fellow Americans with masks on I won't get into that but as always the sandwiches bring me back to being a little boy visiting with my pop always amazing
A few years ago, a friend told me about this place. Best Hot Salami EVER! Today I was craving an Italian Roast Beef, so that's what I got. Next time I might get the best of both worlds the Salami + Beef. Psst - Don't tell anyone about the "Secret Menu". Five + Stars
Gioia's Hot Salami is FIRE! I'm not talking spice! I'm talking taste! Once you've tried it you will be like how did they take Salami and make it taste like this What's their secret Nevertheless their Hot Salami is not the only delicious meat that they offer! Gioia is an excellent alternative to Subway, Firehouse Subs, Snarf's which will make you barf! I'm just saying.
Fantastic sandwiches! If you have not been hear, I suggest trying it. The hours make it a little hard to go during the week, but well worth it!
The best pit stop on our road trip! Right off the highway, delicious food, and fantastic service. Shout out to Toni for making our experience even better.
I have lived here my whole life 51 years and I can tell you my 1st memories from when I was old enough to remember anything I have been eating this and it's like no other, if you have not been here you will not be dissatisfied, and dont forget the old Vienna stl hot chips the best together and also let's go blues!
