We are 2X Girard Home homeowners. Our second home is a custom build. We cannot say enough about the quality of Girard Homes and our  experience creating our custom dream home exceeded our expectations. Our design consultant Becky Erdel helped guide us through the entire process.  Becky has a great eye for detail and is a second to none interior design professional. She spends a great deal of time listening to the customer in an effort to understand their personal style. They are very friendly and nice, my new house look very quality and luxury, Brandon and Patty answer all my questions really fast even though I don't know much English, they all always try to listen my idea, try to help me and try to understand all my questions. We built a home with Girard and moved in late last year. Looking at lots of new homes in Columbia, Girard homes were just different - more interesting architecture, more modern finishing and design, and always very well built.

Everyone at Girard was always available and responsive and worked through lots of my odd and difficult custom requests. Parker was always available for higher level discussions, Becky Erdel could not have been more helpful in the design and throughout the build process and Patty was a great project manager.

The house is wonderful. It's everything we wanted it to be, and now, nearly a year after moving in, everything is still perfect. We couldn't be happier with Girard and now a family member is building with them on our recommendation.

We had just started our search for a new home in the Columbia market when we became aware of Girard Homes. There is a definite distinction in quality, design, and functionality of their homes.

We were not necessarily ready to buy when we stumbled on a Girard Home in the Perche Subdivision that had just been listed that morning. That afternoon, we found ourselves in a meeting with Girard's team. Joan and Becky were organized, informed, and set realistic expectations. The home was 75% built and would be ready for occupancy in 3 months. They reviewed every detail of the design plans. The next day, we walked through the entire house with Shane, Joan, Zach, and Becky to discuss the modifications we really wanted to make in order to suit our needs. Shane understood our requests and we kept hearing "we can do that! ". We had quotes for the changes (that were very specific to our needs) within hours. We all agreed on the modifications and left them in Shane and Joan's hands.

Like any new home, there was a wish list a mile long. As we went through the process, we landed on a list of several non negotiables and a handful of we can live without that. I think that is the case with any home. We ultimately decided that we wanted the location, quality, and subdivision that Girard offered. Our non negotiables were being met. The rest must have been insignificant enough because I do not even remember them now.

We kept in contact with them throughout the entire building process. Visited the home every two weeks. We left every time with a list of questions that were answered before we left the driveway. Truthfully, the Girard team corresponded with us more than our own realtor. They were always very quick to not just respond.but to give us honest answers of timelines, updates, and delivery times.

It was extremely important that we met our closing date. We closed on time with a small list that needed to be completed because of our modifications. Mainly because of the time of year.landscaping and patio extension could not be finished. Again, we left it in their capable hands. We moved in, left town, and Shane delivered while we were gone. He kept us updated of anticipated dates and inspected the project during installation as well as after completion.

We appreciated their professionalism, willingness to adapt to our needs, communicate (answer ALOT of questions), and still not sacrifice quality. We are proud of the quality and workmanship that went into our home. We love our subdivision and our home.

Absolutely Amazing Home Designs, Quality, Style, and People! Stopped in town as we are considering moving back to the area and buying or building. Ventured off a direction and saw these homes that are so unique, unlike anything in town, we caught 2 of their open houses in different areas, and blown away absolutely by both of these properties. If I decide to stay here and build, they would be the builders I would choose, the quality is unlike anything we have seen across the country, very cutting edge, great energy the moment you walk into their properties, and the outsides are so unique. The Breckenridge Subdivision is mindblowingly epic! I would certainly reach out to this company if looking to build or buy!

Best home builder in columbia. Their designs are one of a kind. Bristol Ridge homes are amazing. The people and team there are great and friendly.

We looked at the Bristol Ridge model home. Beautiful attention to detail both inside and out. I loved the floor plan. Perfect for both everyday needs and entertaining. My favorite feature has to be the kitchen with a walk-in pantry including outlets for appliances. And so much space and light in the finished basement. Excellent quality for the money. Beautiful design. We aren’t ready to buy but would consider Gerard when we are.

They were very responsive and very concerning about whether they were meeting their clients needs. Always made sure their clients were satisfied. Their products are top quality and very beautiful. Anyone looking to get a home built, even some landscaping done m, would definitely recommend these guys!

Girard Homes brings decades of home building experience to Mid-Missouri! As a "Local" company, their design and attention to details is what you would expect in purchasing your new home. All it takes is one look at their work and you will understand the vision & passion Girard Homes brings to each and every build!

We built a custom home through Girard. We were actually the first custom home in the area, which as you can imagine makes sourcing suppliers and subcontractors more difficult. Throughout this process, Girard was extremely professional and communicated well.

Like any custom home, you are going to have slight issues. I say this because our home was built in a new subdivision. Our project as well as many others in our neighborhood encountered some surprises. Anyone thinking of building a home should know this is a normal part of the process- particularly with custom as you typically want something that hasn't been done before and to your particular specifications.

Girard handled this really well and was able to build us the home of our dreams. The quality of craftsmanship- particularly in the cabinetry and woodworking was exceptional. I do not feel like were overcharged for this at all to make it custom or the way we wanted.

Their designer also worked with us to help establish a consistent color look and feel for our home. In hindsight, he saved me from making a terrible mistake in my office (which would have been the first room you see upon entering our home.)

So those are the pros! Truly our house is beautiful and while I don't feel comfortable uploading pictures of it on the internet, I can say that we are very happy.

The only cons I had involved the timeline, which in the end they made right through our predetermined agreement. From my understanding in talking with other friends who have built with them, this is now less of an issue, but certainly something to talk about and plan for with any builder.

The home was of great build and quality. I really loved the design of the house. The staff was fantastic. They we’re very comprehensive when it comes to plans and design to get what you wanted in a home. They were very responsive when you had any questions or concerns.
