Gobblers Roost, Nevada MO

Always great service and food! Definitely worth the $. Better than anything you'll eat in KC!

We decided to give Gobblers Roost a try from a couple of friends recommending. We went during Valentines week.
It is a trip to the middle of nowhere outside of Nevada, MO but worth the trip.
We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the smells were amazing.
You got a 5 course meal that was outstanding.
We started with spinach artichoke dip in a roll, a delicious salad with their house made sweet onion vinegrette, baked onion soup (so good), and our main course of Fillet for me and Pork chop for hubby with fresh baked bread and a lovely dessert and champagne to finish.
The service was great, the food was beyond amazing with outstanding portion size on the meats, cooked perfectly.
The atmosphere was charming and the view nice.
This is definitely a special occasion place and highly recommend giving it a try.

The main entree is enough food for 2 days and absolutely mouthwatering! Highly recommend! I can’t say enough good things about this place! It was a little hard to find the first time since it’s out in the country but I wish I could eat here once a week. Follow their website for monthly menu items. You have to make a reservation. You will not regret it!

Gobbler's Roost was recommended by a friend. So, for our 10 year anniversary, we decided to go. I'm ruined for beef filet from anywhere else! I ordered medium rare and they had ir perfect.
The rest of the food is absolutely amazing as well!

Run, do not walk, to this place! Total hidden gem. Kent & Kathy, the owners, have a great story! They built the place themselves. Received excellent service from Kaeth & Michelle. Ambience is lovely. And the food- omg- the previous reviews don’t lie, SUPERB! Had the filet but can’t wait to try the other current options (strip, pork chop, and salmon). Another must try is the Moonshine Margarita- delicious. Lastly, tiramisu for dessert- I’ve never met a tiramisu I liked- until dining here!

Call me dramatic, but you will not regret anything about this place. Make your reservations immediately. Reservations only and may need to be booked months in advance.

First visit and it was great! Rustic setting in SW Missouri with 5 course dining. French onion soup, salad, then choice of steaks, pork chops, salmon.
Service was impeccable, couldn't finish all they brought, so it's at least another meal.

Amazing dinner restaurant. Steaks are the best you will ever have accompanied by delicious and unique sides. Great atmosphere, fantastic service.

Gobblers Roost is in a league of its own with great food, friendly atmosphere, attentiveness to detail, service and most unique setting. Being new to the area, a friend highly recommended the place and we became so impressed we made follow up reservations while there. May I add the owners and wait staff know just how to make you feel welcome and the evening table is yours.

Beyond impressive, beyond my expectations, and beyond anything I've ever experienced!
I've been to at least 75 steakhouses across the country, I've ran a few upscale restaurants and nightclubs and I've made many other happy with my food and cooking.and it's very difficult to impress me!
And the Gobbler's Roost impressed me beyond words! There's a feeling of being more than just a customer, an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming, the staff comes across as of they are your friend or family, the chef comes out and engages on conversations with every table,
The Only way to describe this place is that it's more of an experience having to notch amazing food and knowing that everyone that works there has and does put their heart into what they are doing!

I'm new to the area, but had seen other reviews and had to stop in (after making a reservation, of course). I wanted to take my parents to a place that they might not have ever gone to in their own and only hoped that it would be a good experience. They had one of the best experiences of their lives tonight and they weren't shy about expressing how much they loved that place!

So to those that had the concept that got us to the present Gobbler's roost, thank you! Thank you for loving what you're presenting to those of us that get the opportunity to experience it!

I had a fantastic Birthday dinner last night! This was my second visit and I will for sure be back again! I love having sides that change monthly! The filet mignon was just as wonderful as I remember it being last year. The service and the food was wonderful.

Omg.that pork chop was so tender. But don't buy groceries because you can eat a week on this thing. We will most definitely go back!

Was told at the door that it’s reservation only and they were full even though there were plenty of open tables and nowhere on any site online does it say reservation only. Pretty sure we were discriminated against. Won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

Best advice is when you know you're going to the Roost, stop eating about a week before. That way you'll still have room for dessert. Mmmmm.the pork chops!

Best dinner EVER! We celebrated our anniversary here, and we were not disappointed. And our waitress was just as fantastic!

Hands down the absolute best steak I've ever had. Good service. Good atmosphere. I've eaten at fine dining establishments all of the US.and none of them could beat this steak.

Highly recommend! Everything was cooked to perfection! Great atmosphere and the owner spoke with each guest about their food alongside small talk. Worth every penny!

We went to celebrate my husband's and daughters birthday. We were so impressed with the atmosphere! Fine dining in a country setting. The 5 course meal was excellent, each course brought new experiences to your tastebuds. The service was fantastic in every way! It was simply astonishing when the owners Kent and Kathy, came to our table to check on how we were liking the food. I will definitely go back for more of that country setting and hospitality. Way to go Gobblers Roost you have our vote for 10 star service!
