Good News Brewing Company - Defiance

Love this place! Great pizza and brews and a fantastic location right off the Katy trail. The owners have truly created an atmosphere that keeps locals and tourists coming back. Always a fun time!

Exactly what it sounds like! Upon hearing the words “good news”, the word Gospel came to mind. So when the strains of Christian music hit my ears, I knew I was in the right place. As a recovering fundamentalist who is part of a growing community that loves Jesus and a good craft beer, this was the retail manifestation of that intersection. So drink responsibly here and talk to your neighbor about the News that changed your life!

Great place, right on the KATY trail. Good food, great local beer, inside and outside seating, upper deck seating. Local bands (Calvert and Williams treated us to 60s, 70s and 80s music with a smidge of grunge mixed in today) make it even nicer.

I love stopping in at Good News Brewing when I'm on the Katy Trail. It has such a great atmosphere and friendly staff.

$13 pizza was about 10 inches and not very good. Beers that were listed online were not available until tomorrow. Beers were mediocre at best. Closing at 5 PM for a wedding. Overall not worth the trip.

We had my sons rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing. The food was excellent. We loved the atmosphere and the staff was so friendly! I highly recommend!

Fantastic a spinach Salad and Bloody Mary after a great May Pilates class on the patio! The have a tasty pineapple beer perfect for the 90 degree temps.

I really enjoy Good News Brewing. The pizza and beer are excellent. I also enjoy how the seating area is open to the outside. We stop here after our hikes.

My husband and I hosted my retirement party at Good News-Defiance. It was an amazing experience! Mandy, the event coordinator, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She is very conscientious, thorough, and accommodating. She went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was covered. She was happy to answer questions and provide prompt feedback during the planning process. The party exceeded my expectations, and my husband and I cannot thank Mandy enough! I would highly recommend this venue for events/parties.

Great atmosphere, food, beer, and staff! They’ve got amazing small batch beers and personal pizzas. EVERYTHING here is delicious! They’re dog friendly as well.

Had a great day date with my wife and enjoyed the service and pizza. Dan and his team have added a nice new selection of beers to enjoy here in the hot Missouri summer time. Go and enjoy, and you will not be disappointed. We even introduced our friends to Good News and they loved it too.
