Grasslands Trailhead reviews
6Me and my dog’s “go-to” trail in Columbia. Very easy, low-impact hike with beautiful views of natural grasslands. Ponds, well-maintained trails, very low traffic, and ample flora and fauna. In the spring, there is a lovely grove of white and pink cherry blossoms in full bloom.n
We enjoyed a lovely hike this past weekend. We've visited Rock Bridge many times and this was out first time on the Grassland Trail.
Nice trail, 2 miles long. Very nice rolling hill scenery and the grass is always mowed short for walking on. Very nice example of missouri grasslands and a fairly basic 2 mile trail loop. Easy enough for kids to walk as well.
Love the peacefulness tranquility of these trails. Right out my front yard I take my dog walking and my cat follows along we walked two miles yesterday. I've shared photo and video on this page.
Nicely maintained easy walking trail for young families and the like. Most of the path is a widely mowed trail in open fields of wild grass/shrub, which means many parts are exposed to direct sun so may get hot in the summer. But overall a very pleasant loop that takes about an hour at normal walking pace.
I love this trail in the winter. The path is wide under mostly open areas with a small section in the woods for ambiance! Not so good in summer because of ticks. Enjoy it now.
