Half Price Books, Independence MO

Nice big clean store. The books I bought were about $4 a piece. One was $10 so prices do vary. A little pricier then the thrift stores, but for the most part cheaper then the book store.
They also have a sign saying they buy books. Don't know what you get for them. I know someone that went there ro sell some Disney movie classics and they only wanted to give them $1 per movie. Which really isn't much.

Half priced books is full of great finds. I could wander the store for several hours enjoying the inventory. Great place to browse and pick up a new (used) book. Recommended.

The staff are very friendly. It's a great place to go when you're a book junkie. The prices are very reasonable.

You're not going to get much for the books you take for them to buy.

But that's how come they have a store. They pay for it by buying very inexpensive books

Great place to browse. Im here at least once a month. Sold some books there yesterday and with what they gave me for them I immeditedly applied to a nice hard back copy of Agatha Christies short stories. Very helpful and friendly employees.

The employees were friendly and they got my offer ready quickly. This location was organized well and neatly.

It's one of my favorite half price books locations. Has good selection of board games and rpgs.

There is never a dull moment when I go into Half Priced Books. Their inventory constantly changes and they continuously get new books and media in.

This place is amazing. Great selection of books and music. I was especially impressed with their selection of computer and tech related books.

This place has plenty of books for sale. However if you plan on selling them books be prepared to accept pennies on the dollar. The return rate is awful. The workers however are super nice.

Awesome place for books actually found an Arabic/English dictionary. Lots of gifts for the holidays.

Large variety of genres to choose from. I couldn't find a book and the employees were more than happy to help me find exactly what I was looking for.

It's a nice little bookstore that also sells records and cd music and movies but the only odd thing I noticed was that it had some atheists books in the religion section

It's a book store with discounted books. Some new, some used. Some collectible. They also sell games. For the deepest discounts, check the clearance section in the back left corner of the store. Lots of great books there for under $3.

I shop frequently at this location. While I've never been asked if I needed help, the staff always have been very helpful when I've asked a question.

The section in the back with $2 and $3 books is a great place to stock up on reading material. The store is always clean and well organized. They have records and some comic books as well as collectibles and games. The book selection is great.

While it doesn't exactly live up to the name, it is a decent bookstore with games, music, records, and gifts. They carry a lot of new books and some of the used books can be just as expensive as brand new versions online. With that said, i always stop in and find something great here when i am in the area. Its more of a shop you go to if you enjoy shopping for books more than its a quick stop to pick up the latest novel.

I love HPB! I always manage to find a good book as well as a new series to get excited about and buy without breaking my wallet. Sign up for emails/ texts to receive info and coupons. Sell books that you no longer want for money or store credit. Staff knowledgeable and can always show me where to look for what I'm wanting. They have great non book items that are fun and make excellent gifts.
The store is always amazingly clean. I frequent a lot and never find dust or trash in the store. Second hand that never feels less than first rate.

They may not always have the exact book I'm looking for, but there's always something to be discovered. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Great place to find books at discounted prices. I went to my frist store and came out w/15 books. What a discount!

Excellent customer service. Love Love Love this place! They even have vinyl, DVDs and comic books.
