My husband suffered an injury at work Which resulted in a workman's comp claim on his back. He needed surgery to fix his back, and workman's com was very uncooperative. My husband was unable to walk due to the injury, and workman's comp was dragging their feet, and trying to deny surgery, claiming there was a pre existing condition. We had exhausted all of our efforts in trying to deal with workman's comp on our own and decided to contact an attorney. The attorney we hired was willing to take the case, but was not willing to advocate on my husband's behalf to dig in and see why he could not get the treatment to make him better. We decided to try and search for another attorney, as we felt nobody was on our side. In the mean time my husband had been in bed for over 3 months, taking pain pills, waiting on surgery, and finally being denied surgery and the pain pills he was being prescribed were cut off. Chip Lee and Michael mergen went above and beyond to get workman's com to re evaluate the need for surgery, the need for the pain pills waiting for Surgery and lost wages being back paid from the time of injury and was there every step of the way making sure every detail was covered and that my husband was taken care of from the moment they took the case until the day the case was over. I couldn't have been more happy with the compassion they showed for our circumstances and the lengths they went to to get my husband treated so he could get back to work. After 9 months off work, a double discectomy to his back and weeks and weeks of physical therapy, he was finally released and they negotiated a settlement that we felt was fair.
