Hampton Inn Kansas City-Liberty

We loved our stay at this Hampton Inn. The hotel rooms were clean and accommodating! We’d stay there again!

Google does not allow 0/5, so it will have to be an undeserving 1. We arrived later in the night from a long roadtrip. I checked-in at the front counter and everything seemed great. Emily O, the "manager" provided the keys, so we loaded up the luggage cart with all of our belongings, carried our sleepy 9 month old up to the room, only to find that we were given the wrong room. When checking in, there was absolutely NO MENTION that they needed to switch rooms. If she would have mentioned it, I would have been able to address it before bothering the entire family to unpack. We need a king bed because of our 9 month old, so two queen beds was not acceptable, especially without forewarning. We then had to go back downstairs with the luggage cart and sleeping baby.

I told Emily we were given the wrong room. She then proceeded to tell me of the needed change. I told her we weren't able to do two queens and she said that Hampton can 100% cancel the room and comp another room for us at another hotel. She even picked up the phone to call the Townhome Suites (Marriott) nearby. I also called Townhome Suites and was able to get a room before Emily? Not sure how that happened.

Emily proceeded to tell me that she did not "have access" to processing our refund; only the other managers have access to that? I then asked her how they plan to comp our other hotel room and she said, "I don't have the credit card to do that. " It seems as though Emily O.said a blanket response (comp and 100% refund) to our dissatisfaction with the room, but didn't understand or didn't have the means to provide what she promised initially. I then asked that she provide some sort of written notice that a refund with be forthcoming. She seemed clueless as to what they could possibly do to prove they will be issuing a refund.

All in all, Hampton failed on three fronts - the room, the refund, and the comp. I will never, absolutely never, stay with Hampton again and I will never refer family, friends, etc.to stay with Hampton.

Since Emily could not accomodate our needs, we went to another hotel and it has been absolutely wonderful! I respect a company that does their job and does it well. Thanks, Marriott! Hampton, simple rule of thumb, if you can't do the business right, then get out of the business.

Really nice hotel, rooms are super clean and staff is so polite and helpful. The hot breakfast is a plus. Ashley keeps the food and items ready for you all the time.

Room smelled like mildew. Notified front desk. They said they were booked so could not move me to another room. They came by later and sprayed some air freshener. That helped for a couple of minutes. Was very noisy.was when up several times by people yelling and another time by a woman screaming. Definitely won't be going back. Was one of my go-to places because of it's good location. But there are several other better options near by. A Town place Suites, Best Western Premier, and several others.

Bad an rude poeple they don’t even change the bed sheets everyday they half clean the rooms an they also slave that guirl that the in the laundry all by herself I wouldn’t even stay here

This is an older Hampton, but our room didn't really feel worn/dated. It was clean, comfortable and convenient to stores, restaurants, and the highway. We had a comfortable stay. We didn't eat breakfast, but it appeared to be normal low budget Hampton fair. Staffing at front desk appeared to be an issue as a sign was often out saying staff was away from front desk. I used digital key, so this didn't present an issue. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again for a quick stay in KC.

I was blown away by the staff of this location. The manager Aaron checked me, and was incredibly friendly. He remembered me every time I went by him, and even hours later, rode an elevator with him, and he remembered my destination and was asking friendly questions, like what I'm most excited for. The gal who was running breakfast was so incredibly sweet and acted like she wanted to be there! At one point, I saw Aaron helping Ashely with a few breakfast things, and the gal at the front counter that morning also got out from behind the counter and was helping wipe down tables. No one was like, that's not my job; they were a TEAM and cared for each other, which I complimented them on.

In the morning, we had an exceptional breakfast, honestly the best i've had at any hotel chain that offers complimentary breakfast. They of course had waffles with all the fixings, yogurt, muffins and hardboiled eggs, but they had hot scrambled eggs and breakfast sausage. Not the rubbery ground sausage patties, but links that were perfectly cooked; I also was stoked that the eggs were not rubbery either and tasted like eggs are supposed to!

They had coffee and tea/hot chocolate in the lobby all the time, which was lovely, plus a small area where you could buy snacks and beverages.

There's a lot around this area regarding food and stores, so if you need to get out of the hotel, there are things to go to.

Would definitely stop there again if I'm ever passing through!

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. The room was clean, the staff was extra friendly and the pool was by far my kiddos favorite part. As for location you can easily access I35 and get where you need to get. The front desk staff even made sure we were on a quiet floor because they had so many teams staying their for a tournament. 10/10 recommend.

Terrible. Their booking sight is a mess. I booked for one date and the confirmation sent different dates. Called Hampton Inn to correct the date and got diverted to a different support number. They said they cancelled the reservation (made only minutes ago) but no refund. I got scammed for $200 because they offered one thing (for the date I wanted) and gave me something else (room 2 weeks later) that didn't. I would not have purchased if they hadn't baited me with the dates I wanted.

If I could give this staff more than 5 stars, I would. EVERY single person we saw was pleasant, accommodating and working hard. The room was spotless and little things like extra cups in the bathroom, plenty of towels, an actual blackout shade made it all an easy stay. The young woman working the breakfast area especially stood out to me.she interacted with everyone and clearly was good at her job.

Had a small problem with a third party travel site and they handled it calmly and with great professionalism.

Great hotel and very nice staff. Clean and in a good area with plenty of services nearby. Hotel was very quiet snd in great condition. I would recommend staying here.

I am very sceptical of any hotel. That said, this Hampton Inn completely met all of my expectations! Very clean, wonderful staff, and an awesome breakfast! Would stay again.

Right off I 35. Rooms are clean and updated. Nice decor, comfortable beds, no noise issues, I slept great!

Great place to stay. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Incredibly clean from the door you walk into to the rooms you stay in. Great price for the rooms. And great breakfast! We will stay here whenever we find ourselves in the kansas city area

Ck in ladies on Fri eve were attentive & friendly, & our ck out attendant “Squire” (sp?) was outstanding & breakfast attendant very helpful & smiling: these are all qualities that can’t be “taught”, they are already there!

I arrived late with a toddler who was restless from being in a car all day. The staff was quick to welcome us. We were greeted with a smile and personally thanked for being an Honors Member. The staff was kind to my daughter, addressing and speaking with her directly, in a soft spoken tone with kind words. This made her feel welcomed and respected and helped set her in a good mood for the night. The room was very clean and all the amenities were provided without having to make any requests. The breakfast staff greeted us with a smile and again, helped set my daughters tone for the day by speaking with her directly. Overall our stay was amazing due to a nice facility and welcoming staff.

The staff are very helpful, Arron went out of his way to help us. Very accommodating! Would definitely recommend this place and we would stay here again.
