Harter Bakery reviews
12I got a three tier wedding cake and 2 dozen cupcakes from Harter Bakery for my wedding on 10/27/23. All the guests loved the dessert! I had several people asking where it came from. Tip - try the white cake with raspberry filling. You will not be disappointed.
Worth the drive from CA. I go to Harters every trip.just No Peanut Coffee Cake or Cheese cake if you are late.
Disappointed with the birthday cake decoration - husband ordered cake and thought pastel colors would look nice for the decoration. But the colors were just way too light, so you couldn't read the writing on the cake against the white icing. I blame the bakery. When an order is taken, they should warn about pastel colors looking too light and too dull against a white iced cake. I couldn't take a picture of it, since it was just too difficult to see the writing or the flowers! Very sad for such a very expensive cake!
Look at this amazingly creative cake done by Harter Bakery. We left it up to them to design a sloth cake, and it definitely did not disappoint.
I have been using Harters Bakery for years. They have the nicest employees and their cakes are wonderful. They are always will to make that special cake I need. I moved out of the Arnold area and still drive there for my cakes. They are the best!
Love it there. Very nice and helpful Employee's, did an amazing job on my son's Birthday Cake. Thank you for everything.
Harter Bakery made us cookies for a fundraiser our football team was having. Let me tell you they were so good! She did not disappoint & everyone loved them.
Harters is an awesome bakery and donut shop. I have had several sheet cakes made there. They were delicious. Prices are on the rise" everywhere. So, cakes as well as everything,
I went in and purchased a frozen BLACK FOREST cake. Everybody knows BLACK FOREST CAKES are CHERRY.
When I got home, I noticed there were 2 stickers on the lid-black forest, with a picture of a cherry on the sticker and a sticker that read STRAWBERRY.
I called to ask why my black forest cake, which is always notoriously CHERRY has a sticker that says strawberry. She said they also make strawberry black forest cakes. OK, so I told her that black forest cakes are not strawberry and I want to switch it out. She told me I had to buy a new cake and they won't let me return a cake I bought 10 minutes prior.
If they want to make strawberry filled chocolate cakes, so be it, but they shouldn't put a BLACK FOREST STICKER with a picture of a cherry on it if they are selling them as strawberry filled, non-black forest cakes.
Deceiving. No customer service. No store credit, no discount, no free cake, just an order to tell me to buy another cake. I will not be spending $52+ tax on 2 cakes for 3 people to eat. NOPE. They are probably dry anyway. The last cake I had from there was super dry and had 10 lbs of icing on it. I only bought this cake there because it was a request.
Hey Harters, FYI: REAL BLACK FOREST CAKES are ALWAYS CHERRY. Don't put a black forest sticker on the cake (with a picture of a CHERRY on it) if it is not an authentic CHERRY BLACK FOREST.
Great local bakery that is good for birthdays, special occasions or even just random tasty pastries. Great service.
Best bakery around. If I go to st. Louis I will make the 25 minute trip down just to go there.
Disappointed, we used to love this bakery. We stopped by on 5/8/23 to grab a couple things, the staff was unfriendly, rude, and not very helpful. We purchased a container of premade cupcakes, and a gooey butter cake. Warning: The gooey butter cake was awful. I have never seen a liquified gooey butter cake in my life. We had to call and confirm that it was safe to eat.
