Heartland Care & Rehab Center reviews
10Spent 1 year working at this facility and I feel it has improved greatly. Staff truly care and want to give good care. Skilled nursing homes all get a bad rap and but I very much enjoy my job and the residents I care for. If you knew about this place years ago, I would say, give it another review because it is improving everyday.
This is an awesome home like environment. It has grown so much and is so much better than it used to be years ago. I would definitely say give them a shot!
I have been working there since July and I love it.the staff has became my work family.the staff give 100 percent daily and go above and beyond for the patients. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for there love one to receive the best care ever!
Definitely much better than it was many years ago! Building has had many updates. The staff is amazing. They genuinely care about the residents and it shows. Nursing Management and Admin are amazing and very accommodating. The staff face many challenges and definitely overcome them effortlessly. I would for sure recommend.
Horrible administration! Melissa is awful to work with and does not care about the residents. No effort is put in, communication is terrible, and they talk horrible to you.
Watch out for this place. Whitney and the nurses on her shift are awesome and did a great job with taking care of my aunt. However, the next shift of nurses didn't want me to take my aunt on a visit because supposedly there was a list of people that could but they couldnt provide the list when asked. They claimed there were lots of rules but were unable to provide documentation to back those claims. The only reason Im giving this place three stars is because Whitney and the nurses on her shift were amazing. Also, watch out for the blonde admin. She seems to have hidden agendas with her residents and isnt any better than the nurses that were a problem.
Caring staff! Wonderful rehab department. Nursing care is amazing. Staff is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile.
The food is regular for everyone, no diabetic diet is considered, very short staffed, the place is locked up even visitors have to ask to get out, my mother was there for a week and she just had quadruple bypass surgery and they let her lay in her own feseses for 2 hours, staff is unfriendly, and when we tryed to transfer her to another facility they said that she had behavioral issues so they would not take her because they would do anything to keep a good paying client, but offer no care for cardiac rehab. Thier call system was broken an they gave mom a bell to ring she was at the end of the hall farthest away from the nurses station and she is 79 years old this month I wouldn't take my dog to this place and when I ask my friend about it they said it was a bad place.
My sister was sent there for rehab. Because of her insurance it was the only place to go. It smelled liked urine from the front door and decor was junk from the 20's. The people were nice, but stole her throw and robe and replaced it with a raggedy one. Very depressing. If I were able to care for her on my own, she would never have been there. The state needs to be involved (2021)
It is a special place for special people. I have worked there for the past 8 yrs.and enjoy it very much.
