Vegan BBQ!? How did I not know about this place. I had their seitán sandwich with SLT sauce. It was thick, filling, and so good! My side was the cheesy potatoes, which were hearty a.f. And super tasty too! My friend got the same but with KC sauce and side pineapple cornbread. Awesome as well! We didn't get beer this visit but I'll definitely be back. They had a huge variety and it all sounded really worth trying.

Sidenote; They were also really good about covid distancing too and had masks and a hand sanitizer station right inside the door. Much appreciated!

Amazing spot. Awesome beer and delicious food. Phenomenal Reuben sandwich, maybe the best I’ve ever had. They also have a great setup for social distancing where you order inside and they bring your food outside to the patio. Can’t wait to come back!

Their sours are on point and they have some of the best brewery food around. Try the smoked Reuben, bean side, and cornbread chili.

Great food! Great craft beer! Most of their food has a little spice (hot) to it. If you can't handle it just be careful of what you order. Beer bread and spreads were amazing. The only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars was because they don't serve to the table. All orders have to go through the bartender. I normally don't care for vanilla coffee stouts. But if you like coffee try it.delicious.

Amazing food, the brisket and pineapple cornbread really hit the spot. The quality of food is excellent, service is fast. As you would expect, limited menu size.

Had the Oktoberfest beer, taste not an issue but $6 for 15oz is a bit much. You can get a growler, but that's the largest draft size.

Overall, great food, good beer; together it is a great combination. However, if I just wanted to drink or eat, this would not be my first choice.

Beer and food was good. Only 4 stars as walking to the bar and waiting to place the order for a new beer, whilst the food on the table gets cold is bit odd

Great BEER! That's what you want in a brewery, right? ! Their flagship brown ale is the best I've had! I had a quick flight and wasn't disappointed once:)

The place looks great. Had many great brews and the pretzel bread and corn bread was really yummy.

Try the velvet underbrown beer. It's delicious. The bartenders are kind of mean and inattentive though.

Beer is decent and not a bad place to have a beer. But, it's the vibe that makes it lose a star as it just does not feel as good as my favorites in Saint Louis.

The beer is good but the name of this place is deceiving. No heavy riffs were heard. Blink 182. Seriously?

Updated to respond to owners:
Ah, I see the error. I am well versed in music theory and didn't realize you were using it in that manner. I am also well versed in heavy metal and the term heavy riff is used to describe drop D tuned guitar hooks. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the term "hooks". I would describe a heavy riff in this sense by suggesting a listen to Black Sabbath.

Great brews and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this even in the crowded STL craft brew market. They're doing the trendy things better than everyone else (NE IPA, Milkshake IPA) and the standards are great too (APA, Brown ale). Playing Vampire Weekend, Rush, and Spoon back to back to back doesn't hurt either.

I was in town on business. I didn't feel like dealing with Side Project's pretentousness and wanted to try somewhere new. Overall, the beer was good, but in terms of craft beer, the beer was pretty average. The menu showcased a wide range of styles, which is accommodating, but also concerning as I got "jack of all trades, master of none" feeling from the. I had a couple of their IPAs. One was a West Coast style IPA that reminded me of SNPA, with standard west coast earthy-piney hops. Another was a hazy; that one was drinkable, but I wouldn't order again. My last beer was their dark raspberry sour. Again, it wasn't a bad beer, but nothing I'd order again.
Atmosphere was pretty much your standard low-budget brewery with a guitar theme. It wasn't quite a warehouse setting, but it could've been.
Food is described as BBQ, but it's not what you tend to think of when you think BBQ. It was more like smoked meats. Food was actually pretty good.

Gave it 2 stars because the place looks cool, but the bartenders didn't look up to greet me and my friend.
All we wanted was a beer had tables but no servers the whole bar area was full so in order to get a drink.
I assume you have to know one of the 3 bartenders to get their attention or ask a stranger to move or squeeze between people to get the bartenders attention.
I suggest you work on greeting People when they are standing there looking at you with no drink in their hand. Or get servers who actually pay attention to who is coming in. I dont normally post bad reviews but your service sucked

This place is an absolute gem. The walls are adorned with classic rock (60's-80's) memorabilia and concert posters. They couple this with era appropriate music over the speakers made for a fantastic atmosphere. The crowd skews 35+ but a few younger patrons were present. Now! The beers.amazing. They had 4 sours, which was perfect for our tastes and honestly I couldn't decide which I liked more they were all fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

Owned by a couple local guys. They have delicious & creative beer. Their food it's really yummy! They have vegetarian/vegan options. Even of you eat meat, try the seitan! Not many restaurants ever carry that option for protein and it's mega delicious there; they smoke it.

A friend had recommended Heavy Riff before and finally checked them out. I really enjoyed the beer. Didn't have dinner, but their spent grains beer bread is a winner. Looking forward to heading back for dinner some time soon.
