Hello Lovely Hair & Makeup, Kansas City MO

I’ll start with the positive experiences I had with Hello Lovely KC. The owner Ashley and manager Sue are amazing people, they work hard to accommodate everything. I unfortunately had a hard luck - my first artist Liz had broken her wrist, so I worked on my trial with Angie. Angie was amazing and everything went all.

However, due to some unforeseen events, my hair and makeup artists had to be reassigned just a couple weeks before my wedding. While I do appreciate Hello Lovely trying to assign artists at a short notice, my new artists were definitely much less experienced than Liz or Angie and I had to go through a lot of trouble and stress to be able to work with them. I’m not sure it’s even possible but as a client I could tell the difference between the experiences the artists have and the experiences I had. It’d be nice to get someone on equal level of expertise as Angie or Liz - but I understand that may not be possible always given the short notice.

On my wedding day, my makeup worked out really well with Vanessa. She made sure to apply all the notes I mentioned and I liked how I looked. However, my hair was not good - the artist definitely tried her best but I was running out of time and I had to settle with what I got. She was also starting to get frustrated which was hard for me because I already was frustrated and stressed with my hair not looking what I wanted on my wedding day. This was even after having a trial with her. I had booked another vendor for rest of my bridesmaid’s hair since Hello Lovely couldn’t accommodate the entire party onsite in that timeframe. The hair stylist from the other vendor actually re-did my hair after the hair stylist from Hello Lovely left and this other vendor’s hair stylist was very experienced and could fix my hair in 10 minutes and my hair ended up looking great. But this is the credit that goes to the other vendor and not the hair stylist I booked from Hello Lovely. The other vendor was not even responsible or paid to do my hair, neither did I do a trial with them. But they were very sweet and helpful.

Hello Lovely gave me a partial refund of $100 for all the trouble which I appreciate.

Overall, I’d say I liked their proactiveness and professionalism, however Hello Lovely needs to work with the newer artists more to make sure they’re skilled, have good expertise and well suited enough for wedding events even when assigned as backup. I felt like I was getting experimented on. I’d give a 4 star but I’m giving 3 due to my experience on wedding day Hair with the hair stylist.

I had an incredible experience working with Liz and the Hello Lovely team on my bridal makeup! She not only took the time to understand my vision for my makeup, but also spent quality time getting to know me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day. I am very grateful for their attention-to-detail and making everyone look so beautiful!

Ask for Liz and Amanda! Liz was my (the bride) hair and makeup artist. She also did the whole wedding party's hair while Amanda did wedding party makeup. Both were AMAZING to work with. They listened to what each woman wanted and made adjustments to make sure everyone was perfect and felt absolutely beautiful. Liz was also amazing during my makeup trial. We weren't able to do a hair trial so Liz was so patient with me on the wedding day when I asked for some changes. They are true professionals who know how to make each person look amazing on a special day. The administration side of Hello Lovely was also great to work with. I reached out to other companies and never heard back, but Hello Lovely was always responsive and kind.

I couldn't recommend Hello Lovely enough for any future brides! I had a very large group (13 people) that all wanted hair, make up and lashes for my wedding day. Due to the large number of our group I knew I would have to work with a company that has completed that many services at one time. Hello Lovely blew me out of the water! I was a bit worried about timelines just because I know sometimes hair and make up can take a bit more time but the Hello Lovely team was able to complete all hair almost an hour earlier than expected, WOW. Liz was our main artist who worked with myself (the bride) and my mother. Liz was extremely professional and so much fun to work with. She made me feel beautiful and comfortable at my trial and on the day of. She was also extremely open to any feedback or changes that I wanted to make after my trial.

I don't remember all the names of the artists that worked with my party the day of but they were all just amazing, efficient and quick. I will suggest and rave about Hello Lovely to all future brides looking for wedding hair and make up!

They are masters of their craft and are compassionate, enthusiastic and have honed a beautiful, skillful approach to making their clients feel comfortable, confident, and create a look that is unique to each person that enhances their naturally beautiful features.

ALSO- I had the privilege of being in the makeup chair of the salon owner, and I was equally impressed not only by how she approached my makeup look, but by how she took the time to listen to her fellow MUAs concerns and questions, and would empower them with hands-on coaching, suggestions and constant encouragement. That’s good leadership, my friends. She also took the time to teach me how to accurately apply the products for my own knowledge and gave me make up tips and insights for the kinds of products I should look for that work best with my skin. As a makeup lover, I so appreciated that!

My hair and makeup were perfect for the wedding! My makeup and hair remained flawless despite how hot and humid the outdoor reception was. Lots of compliments on it all day and night.

We are beyond pleased with Hello Lovely and their work! We hired hello lovely for our wedding day and they traveled to our venue and set up in the provided suite. The makeup and hair they provided that day was BEAUTIFUL. They did hair and makeup for 5 bridesmaids, the bride, and the MOB. We all wanted something simple, natural, and light. They did just that! I was ultra impressed with their work. My makeup looked amazing, and I am not someone who usually wears much makeup so I am ultra picky. They understood exactly what I wanted. My hair was in a bun up-do and it stayed up all night, even during dancing! My makeup looked fantastic ALL night, when with the summer temperature! Overall, very impressed with their work and will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know!

Hello Lovely was perfect for my modern garden styled wedding. They provided hair and makeup for 4 bridesmaid models and the bride. Not only were they finished in a timely manner, but I couldn't get over how amazing all the girls looked. Important to add - we had a last minute model change and Hello Lovely was able to get the model in and out of the chair in no time while still looking stunning. So excited to work with them again in the future.

I got married on December 3rd, 2022 and while I was stressed out about the day in general, per usual for a bride, Madilyn made sure that her part of the day went off without a hitch. She was professional while also being very personable. She listened to exactly what my bridesmaids wanted for their hair and did it flawlessly and she made me feel so beautiful. She even helped my husband (who has just past the shoulder length hair) smooth his hair out so it was manageable for the day. I 100% recommend this company and specifically Madilyn for your big day!

I have use HelloLovely for my engagement photos, bridal trial (100% recommended to add) and my wedding day. I’m beyond impressed with the services, but also the accommodation to my last minute changes. And OMG makeup and hair fabulous! The transformation is amazing. I had the opportunity to book Liz for all the looks and she also worked on my Mother and sister. Can’t wait for my next event to have my hair and make up done again. I’m a forever customer!

I went to Lovely Lofts, my first time visiting. I didn't like the parking at all! The loft, was very spacious and the bathroom. I Love how it was made!

Hello Lovely was the perfect hair and makeup service for my wedding day. Booking a trial was quick and easy and the execution on my wedding day was seamless. Natalie and Liz were right on time and I (along with my bridesmaids and Mom) was so pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out. Both Natalie and Liz were very sweet and fun while doing everyone's hair and makeup. I cannot recommend them enough!

Hello Lovely was great to work with. They were very responsive and accommodating to changes and additions. I had my trial with Liz and she was great. I am glad I had a trial booked with them because I did have some changes that I made note of for the actual wedding day and those changes were implemented perfectly. They were very quick and intentional with each person on the wedding day and we were all ready to go with time to spare. Overall a great company to work with!

Communicating with Hello Lovely was incredibly simple, which is what you need amongst all your wedding preparations! I worked with Ashley and Liz! Liz did a phenomenal job with hair and makeup for myself and my mother. I had no hesitations or worries about it! However, Liz made my mom feel incredibly comfortable, considering she'd never gotten her makeup done or lashes before! I appreciate her and how wonderful she made us look on my wedding day!

Hello Lovely helped myself, my bridesmaids, and my mom/MIL look and feel beautiful on my wedding day! Our artists kept on schedule, worked well with each of our individual requests, and really brought a fun energy to our morning! Excellent experience!

I had a great experience with Hello Lovely. I can't remember my stylist's name, but she arrived early, wore a mask at my request, and understood the look I wanted to achieve. Could not have been happier with this choice:)
