Henry's in Soulard, St. Louis MO

Still a great place to have a drink with a good vibe. Not to mention one of the best patios around.

Great nightly specials, friendly staff and eclectic mix of patrons. Love it! The patio is awesome, great for pictures or having a few drinks with friends. Dog friendly which is a bonus. The inside bar has a good vibe, definitely an underated spot.

Neat atmosphere, it had a hipster hole in the wall patio vibe. No specialty drink menu and for sure not a winter spot from what I could tell, but still a unique spot

Definitely great time. Every time I'm in St Louis they will see me for sure. Great staff

Really cool unusual place! The bath rms could use some attention though, not really clean & the paper towels were on a shelf outside of the bath rms.

Fascinating place. The bar was a bit slow to get a few beers, but the artistic ambiance made up for it.

Henry's is a great place to go hang out and have a drink. It gives off a beach vibe. Ask for Tiffany for an amazing drink! She makes the best!

The bartender wouldn’t serve me after I asked for a drink 6 times as well same thing with my friend, she would just help the others right next to us. Then she would look at us and roll her eyes then say we don’t belong here (black) as we were leaving she threw a drink at me this happened last night

This place is great as long as the crowd isn't so thick it stops you from getting a drink.

So first off that email was invalid. Do you want to give me some real contact info so we can genuinely come to a resolution or do you just want to look good on your reviews? I said nothing about specials… let me clarify… your bartender charged me for alcohol I did not ask for nor did she provide me with. I watched her pour house vodka in my cup and tried to claim it as Tito’s. Secondly I have a recording of the brown haired girl that I was talking about. And lastly you asked me why I didn’t talk to cops on staff? I didn’t see any fand I was chased out by your bouncers for trying to talk about the situation. Reply back with some real contact info so we can get to the bottom of this yea? Also just because YOU claim to be the owner and that YOU watched the cameras, does not really confirm anything.

Do not go to this bar. There are WAY better options than the rude, disgusting, aggressive staff at this establishment. It’s serious. Do not risk having a bad night and or week because of this place. Do yourself the favor

To keep a long story short: I was getting my first drink of the night, just a quick drink and go, and the dark haired bar tender who claims she’s the manager fraudulently charged my card for “more expensive alcohol” that I supposedly ordered.on 1/08/22 at around 11 p.m. I literally watched her pour it.
She became verbally aggressive and so did the bouncer when I tried to politely dispute it and he also walked towards me with the intent of forcefully removing me. A police report is getting filed 100% and I’m looking into a potential lawsuit for misconduct. Go at your own risk.

I don't know where to begin. I saw a guy standing in what I thought was a garage and kept walking. Tried the front door and it was locked. Went back to the "garage" and said, "Uhh.is this.the entrance? ! " It was. He didn't card me or charge me a cover, he was just.there.

I'm 10 months sober and just needed a place to rest after walking too much around Soulard carrying a coat and umbrella on an unexpectedly warm but rainy day. I ordered a soda and asked if it was okay to take pics of the interior.

I got a lot of really cool pics then headed out to the patio, which was even more, like, post-apocalyptic surreal art installation. Some of it was covered, which was nice, so I rested my feet and jammed to 90s tunes for what felt like 10 minutes. On my way back through the bar, there were suddenly multiple patrons, only adding to the sense I had stepped out of time.

Tl;dr Soulard is haunted and this place is wonderfully weird.

We used to frequent Henry's and always had a pleasant time. It's clear that the owners have really tried to build on and add to the space and atmosphere. They've really done a good job. Unfortunately, today, we had a horrible experience. When I went to the bar to order, I waited patiently as the bartender didn't acknowledge me and serviced others who came after me first. When she did come over she was dismissive and rude. On my second trip up, I again waited patiently as I watched her walk past me to customer who had just walked up. Another acquaintance (also black) even made a comment to me about how she was looked over and ignored. My friend's boyfriend (white) came to order and the bartender again ignored me and went directly to him. When he directed her to me she was rude. I asked to close out after ordering; she ignored me. When she did come back, she was rude and slammed my check and card down with additional rude comments. I never addressed her behavior. I spoke calmly to her. All of her behavior was unwarranted and noticed by other customers. While I like Henry's, the biases of the bartender has soiled their reputation.

Excellent homemade chicken tenders. I highly recommend them. Friendly waitress and a good wholesome experience. It was my first time and will not be my last.

I was just at this place last night when they had an altercation. One of the security guards got slammed cause he was being a hot head. After the altercation a security guard approached me and said I was being loud my reaction was like are you serious, its a bar with loud music then said I was acting in aggressive manner. All were lies, I was with my girl and a group of friends. My friends and my girl said what are you talking about nobody being loud and aggressive. He was like one of my security guys friends told me that you were. I was there all last year and did not have an issue with this place. Last night, I did have an issue. Henry needs to hire people with more experience and security that does not look like there 12. Won't be going back there for awhile.

Edited: I’ve only been here once and never was turned away as the owner states in the response. If the owner doesn’t like your review he/she will get on here and lie saying the reviewer was heavily intoxicated or was kicked out when nothing like that actually happened. (As shown on other reviews also) That alone should tell you what type of establishment this is. I came after work and had one drink. This place could use a good cleaning. I would not recommend this place. Staff seems very unhappy. I had my one drink and left. Just by the owners response saying I was turned away because I was intoxicated is hilarious. What a joke. Sooo many other options In soulard.

Does not serve food. Not even peanuts or chips. Customer service could use a bit of training as well. Would not recommend
