Hereford House - Zona Rosa, Kansas City MO

I have always heard of Kansas City steaks but my experience in Kansas City Mo At the Hereford house in the Zona Rosa was far from it. I’d ordered medium rare and it came well done with little or no flavor. I have had tougher meat I suppose but I can’t really remember where.and they price I paid for it was ridiculously high compared to what I’m custom to paying at any good steak house. I don’t complain I pay and move on and scratch places off my list but this was so far from being right I’m adding this review
Adding the roasted artichokes were probably the best I’ve ever had.

It was our first time here during happy hour and we loved it. I ordered the steakhouse burger and it was very juicy and delicious, big so I only had half. Husband ordered the short rib sandwich and it was very perfectly sized, non was taken home, and the tenderloin tips were on point!

The food was delicious. Definitely exceeded my expectations. They can even tell you which farm your steak came from.

I have visited this Herford House location now for I believe 3 years for my birthday. I love the whipped goat cheese and pepper jelly that they have on their apps menu. This location is very easy to get to with street parking right next to the restaurant, and parking lots within a short walk. The staff is always friendly and you can make a reservation with OpenTable just in case its a busy night. Patio seating is available, however it has been just a bit hot lately to enjoy it.

My wife and I had a great meal and excellent and friendly service. We always enjoy our time here.

Pretty pricey yet well worth it for the service and food. 4 stars due to their meatloaf being a bit dry

Was excited to celebrate our 34th Anniversary here. Husband had the 16oz KC Strip it was amazing. I ordered the 16oz Prime Rib. I was very disappointed. It was tuff and hard to cut and chew. Been here once before and it was really good so that's why I wanted for my Anniversary. Veggies & Portobello mushrooms were good. I'm not one to complain but when you are looking forward to something and isn't what you remembered it was it's disappointing.

Ate with family. They loved the fried calamari and fried mushrooms. I had their signature steak soup which was really good. Two had the rib-eye streak, which they seemed to think it was just okay. The kids had chickens tenders, hot dog, and fries. They thought it was fairly good. The salmon plate was very good along with the mashed potatoes. I had the chicken fried steak special with spicy corn and mashed potatoes. The breading was really good but the steak was difficult to cut and was very bland without the breading. But again, the mashed potatoes and corn were really great. But this is a high end, high priced restaurant and I was expecting better quality for meals in the $30-$60 range.

The service was top notch. Food excellent. We split grilled salmon and instead of bringing a 2nd plate they plated the dish as if it was too entrees. Don't see that much anymore. Class act.

The food was great and plentiful. Took Larry (waiter) a few trips to the table to be personable and introduce himself, but he did eventually. We enjoyed our dining experience!

My husband went in for a date night and honestly I was very happy. They did amazing. I felt bad for my waitress. I'm a very picky eater and she did great. Amazing service and attitude.

I took my wife there for her birthday dinner. It was our first time to eat there. We both ordered the top sirloin med well and it was delicious. The service was excellent our waitress was nice and friendly and made sure we we're well taken care of. We look forward to going back.

They served us moldy bread.and really the food was poor enough that we're probably done with this place.
