They had a car when I needed one. I told them I have a service dog. I will admit sheds a lot right now in the heat. But $400 to vacuum a car? They did give me the option to go do it myself. Took me and a nice helper abt 15min to clean it

Information listed on their website is not how they actually operate. I was unable to rent the car I had reserved when I arrived the day of my intended trip.

I am extremely disappointed in Hertz, super polite staff, but above and beyond that, a worthless experience.

I rented a Tesla with them thru Uber, big mistake. Upon explaining that I needed the car till June 18th they gave me a vehicle where the tags expire the last day if May. Top it off after over 8 hours (total time, not includong the last hour, dealing with their service department) trying to figure out why they keep sending me info saying I need to bring it back as it will not auto renew, while the staff keeps telling me other things, both mind you were incorrect.

Brought it in to swap it, per their customer service. Nothing will change and all will be resolved they said. Lies! After half a day wasted trying to get it resolved the resolution was to cancel my old reservation and create a new one.already being charged for a late fee, a second deposit now having $500 total tied up for who knows how long.

Tried to rent a gas vehicle instead, they tell me they already overbooked them and can't help me, how nice that you overbook your vehicles screwing more people, sweet. No compensation for my time, no sympathy, no nothing but the vague offer of a $50 voucher for a future rental (from their service department nothing from their local office), NO THANKS! I won't ever be renting from you again, and if it wasn't for needing it for Uber i wouldn't keep this one.

This has been handled awfully, taking up much of my time with no concessions, compensations or anything. Oh they said in a week, MAYBE, I could come back and rent a gas powered car, but I'd have to go through all of this yet again. No thanks!

FYI, after finally reaching someone in their service department, another hour wait, they said I'd have to talk to the issuing office, refused to help, refused to escalate, and hung up on me. Service here is top notch. If you have any other options for rental vehicles, go there as you won't get much from here, aside from polite staff.

Absolutely the worse experience ever. Rented a car from the STL airport. Turned out to have a defective battery. One day into the trip, the car died.then came back on. Died again a couple days. Customer service got us going with triple a service and told us to take it to this specific location.

The staff behind the counter wanted nothing to do with us. Customer service stated due to a defective car, we didn't have to fill it up or anything, just drive it straight there.

Upon getting there, they acted loss and clueless to everything and basically forced me to fill up the tank or be charged for it. Explained that the car could die. They didn't care.

Went to the gas station and filled it up and surprise! The car died. They refused to help and even said it wasn't their problem and I should tow it to the Springfield airport location.

Did my best controlling my frustration and got another jump and gave them the car back with a full tank of gas.

They still charged me over 30 dollars for a fuel fee, even though they confirmed it was full. And then refused to refund it. Luckily, the hertz at the airport was extremely helpful and amazing.

PEGGY at this location is absolutely one of the worse human beings in how she treated us. Don't give them your business. They don't deserve anyone's money.

From the very beginning we have had a wonderful experience with Hertz! Peggy is amazing with communicating, following through, and being SO friendly and helpful! Ian was a great help to us as well and quickly got us into a rental when we really needed it. Thank you for treating us so well- above 5 star service! Thank you!

I would give a ZERO review if possible. Our rental car had broken down bc of a corrosive battery we had called hertz customer service and they told us that we did not have to refill the rental car and just go to this location to exchange cars. When we arrived the employees insisted that we had to refuel the car or we would be charged for fuel knowing that the car was defective and would probably not start again. My husband took the car to the closest gas station to refuel and, of course, the car did not restart and when we asked the hertz employee what we should do they said “oh you have to call road side assistance again and have them jump start your car”. The next day, after this whole ordeal, we went to return the rental car and they still charged us for gas! When we called they stated they had not charged us for gas and would only refer me to the customer service number. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. The employees are rude, unhelpful and disrespectful (esp Peggy and their manager).

A good car for the money. I don't understand why minivans cost 3 times as much as a full sized car.
