Hidden Valley Golf Course reviews
12We usually go and pay for one cart and two people play. We had one cart, 2 people playing, and 1 was walking. Ms. Holly decided to come out and yell at us on our last hole which led my partner having to go inside and pay for another cart and another person playing. Uncalled for and super unprofessional. Apparently we also had some complaints that we were taking our time on the golf course, so apparently we need to apologize for taking our time. Since we are not super experienced, unfortunately we were a little slower vs.the single players behind us. Good course, was slightly torn up from mud and trash everywhere. No wonder they are short staffed and the restaurant is getting shut down. Hopefully Holly can correct herself and do better.
Typically a great experience. Today not so much. 3 hrs to play 11.5 holes. At one time there were four groups waiting on tee box of 13. We called clubhouse and the teenager kid they sent out said he asked the group to start letting people play through. He then apologized and said there was nothing he could do. Two guys playing with us left as well. Playing 5 minutes and waiting 15 is not my idea of fun. No worries from the club house. Won’t be back for quite a while.
I have a large group (about 30), college (Mizzou), friends who have gotten together for the past 40 years to play golf up in my home town of Richmond, MO, we call it the Richmond Open! It is just a day every year where we all get together to catch up and see each other. Over the years, as we have gotten older, it has become more and more important to try and make the event! This year we had a mix-up on days and reluctantly had to pivot to Hidden Valley Golf Course in Lawson MO! All I can say is what a great decision! We had a blast and they took care of us like we had been coming there for the first 39 years! Holly in the Club House was a true gem, Jim the Marshall was so accommodating and the starter (whom I can't remember his name), was a really great ambassador to the course! Thank you so much for taking care of us and letting us come and play! The effort and hospitality was over the top! Our group really enjoyed the course, the people, and the venue! Thank you so much for helping us keep the tradition alive!
Another hidden gem
Still dealing with the fallout from the pandemic (staffing shortages) while providing good food and service
Nice layout that provides a fun round in quiet country setting.challenging enough for all golfers and a great value! Excellent food and friendly service at Mulligans. Hidden gem!
Fun course! People are friendly the course is in good shape and the new parking lot is awesome!
Good course. Flat, confidence builder with no real trouble out there to get into. Big fairways are decent greens.
Had a great time on this course. It's a little out of the way but the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The course was very wide open but offered some challenges along the way for the more experienced player. Fairways could use a bit of work on a hole or two. The greens offered a good challenge, most with deceiving breaks. Cost.excellent value.
Love the course, played alot but well maintained, straightforward but challenging, good course for relaxing day of golf with friends or family
I play here mostly, have been since it opened years ago. They continue to improve on it each year. It's a pretty wide open course. If your looking for a tough course to play with narrow fairways and sand bunkers, this is not it. If your looking for a long course but not real difficult, this is it! Check out the bar and grill here after your round, food is pretty good. Also, green fees and cart are $35, can't go wrong with that price.
Played Hidden Valley for the first time with my wife and daughter. We recently moved to KC area and are looking for a home course. This one checked every important box (friendliness of staff, course conditions, pace of play, course amenities, price, etc). We didn’t stay to eat, but will next time. Definitely a “Hidden” gem of a course. Only reason for 4/5 stars is the cart paths need help. Other than that, great course and easy to find!
