High Adventure Ranch, Cook Station MO

Was a great place to hunt. Cabin was fine and the staff was excellent. My guide knew the land and put me on a fine hog. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at High Adventure Ranch for Thanksgiving weekend! My 8 year old son asked to go hunting for the first time early March and instead of booking an arduous hunt for elk we found this ranch to get him started. From booking, accommodations, staff, and animals to choose from 5 stars. My son and I (just turned 9) were joined by my father from Washington state and all of us made some great memories. Best part my son loved it and wants to hunt again next year too! Whether an experienced hunter, a novice, or trying to get a child interested this is a great place.

The personal cabins where nice, clean, and comfortable. The food that was provided was really good. I had plenty of trophy animals to choose from. I was pleased with the size of their Russian Boars and Hybrid Hogs. The guide did a great job finding the size of boars I was looking for. All in all it was a great experience.

My family loves High Adventure Ranch! We have had Joey as a guide twice now, once when my 8 year old son harvested a ram, and more recently when my fiance harvested this beautiful elk. Jackie in the kitchen is a fantastic chef & makes all sorts of mine dishes that feature the ranch's animals, followed by top bakery level desserts. Everyone we have met are extremely professional and friendly. They go above & beyond to care for their customers. We rate this ranch a solid 5 stars!

My husband and I just got home from our Russian boar hunt but were planning our next hunt before we left our cabin. Our guide Justin was wonderful and we got both our boars the first day in soaking rain. The cooks, the guides and all the staff are extremely nice. Food was wonderful. After meals I enjoyed watching all the animals mill and play around behind the dining building. You will not be disappointed with your stay whether you get an animal or not.

Went with a group of guys from work, we had a great time. The hospitality and lodging was excellent.

I loved my stay at the High Adventure Ranch. I went with a group or 7 for a bachelor party. Let me say this was the best bachelor party I ever attended. From the minute you step foot on the ranch, you are treated like royalty. The staff was very courteous and flexible. A staff member first brought us to our cabin to unpack and unwind. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed (Wifi also). The cabin had an amazing view of the lake and part of the property. There was wild life everywhere roaming, eating and chilling in the lake (it was 90 degrees when we visited). After we settled in we went to the dining hall for lunch. Every meal was homemade and delicious. I wished there was more of a variety when it came to side dishes but the main course had no complaints. I love to hunt but I would go back for the cooking alone. The main chef was very nice and was there for anything you needed. After lunch we met our guide Joey. Joey is the man. He is very knowledgeable about every animal on the property. He answered all questions with ease and you could tell he loved his job. Joey was able to help us fill 4 Ram tags and 1 Boar tag our first day out. This was great because we got to enjoy the next day in full with relaxation on the shooting range, fishing and a little partying at the cabin.

This was one of the greatest experiences. I can not wait to go back. I am already saving so that I can go back to hunt in 2024 (hopefully 2 animals: Boar and Axis Buck).

For this hunt only 2 shooters were previous hunters. We had 3 green shirts, but Joey really made it a priority to help the guys who were nervous. I will be requesting Joey when I go back. I recommend you do as well.

This is the place to be! I went with my 2 sons ages 16 & 8, Jan 2022 and we thoroughly enjoyed our hunting experience. Its amazing to see the variety and population of animals HAR have on the ranch. Its just an extraordinary sight to see wild animals running around by the dozens and scores. The paperwork, the licensing, the accommodations, the food, the mess room, the cooking, the guides, the hunt, the meat preparation and packaging everything is truly an experience to behold and enjoy. We were truly lucky to find HAR and go there. We definitely plan to return many time again.
I have to say this, that we had a terrible hunting trip to a place in Tennessee the previous year. In the "4 days" that we were there; we only saw 1 squirrel and 1 bird fly.that was the sum total of everything on 1300 acres. It was thoroughly disappointing to be told that they cant help it if the animals don't show up.
By contrast, HAR in Cook Station Missouri is a hunters paradise. Like I said in the begginning, ITS THE PLACE TO BE if you want to hunt.

Guides are very knowledgeable and friendly the staff are absolutely fantastic the food is wonderful will definitely be back here prices are very reasonable for everything you get the meat processing is excellent!

My brother, my son-in-law and I went on a hunt this past week. We were set to get a cow elk and 2 hogs. We had such a great time! The food is 1st class and our guide, (talon) went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We added another cow elk and they hooked us right up. This is a great place to go and they make the hunts exciting. Will definitely be going back.

The people at this ranch go out of their way to make your experience one of a kind. Been going 7 years in a row and will be back for more amazing hunting

This place is top notch! I have nothing but praise for the entire staff. They made sure everything was perfect. One of the best trips I have ever taken. I will definitely be back soon!

Could not be happier with the entire experience! This was our first hog hunt and everyone was very accommodating and helpful allowing us to make it what we wanted it to be. Jeremy our guide was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Everyone were down to earth and just good people. I highly recommend if you want to hunt wild boar you call and schedule at High Adventure Ranch. The meals were filled with exotic game and delicious. They had other people there booked for much larger game spending a considerable amount more money and yet we were treated just the same. One could not ask for better customer service. I am taking my dad back in the spring when his vacation resets. Thank you again Jeremy for everything you are the man!

This was our 4th trip there.we took a Red Stag Hind. Justin our guide all 4 times is awesome, and knows the property well.the food is fit for a king.and the cabins are spotless.we will do #5 next year.thanks for the good time

This place is awesome. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable. Justin was our guide and he did great. Had alot of fun hunting. Good food as well. The animals roam the place so you will see quite a few different animals.
