Nice easy access to the Tom Sauk Ozark Trail! Well marked and beautiful scenery.
Not a frequented or well maintained trail. Turned around after about 1/2 mile and drove up to Mina Sauk Falls trailhead which was MUCH BETTER.
Careful with your belongings, my car was broken into here. Lovely hike along this trail though.
There is a long trail for the ozark trail right by parking lot. However we wanted to do Kertcherside mountain trail and that is on the other side of the hwy so be careful when crossing. When facing the otherwise go to the right a bit and look for the tiny marking on a tree. Not easy to find and I'd imagine it would be very difficult when overgrown. It is a nice trail and has a good incline and beautiful vistas.
