Hilton St. Louis Frontenac reviews
161 st time booking this hotel with hotel.com.they gave me a very small room and didn't clean the room for my second night.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but the room could definitely use an upgrade or redesign. If this hotel is near where you need to be, you will be happy. Just don't expect a luxury room. I would definitely stay here again!
Great service, the room was very clean and spacious. My husband and I very much enjoyed this Hilton. If we travel to St. Louis again, Hilton Frontenac will be our first choice.
The hotel is very dated, and do not stay in a tower room on the weekend. The noise from the ballroom was extremely loud so we had to change rooms after the first night. The front desk isn't informed about what time events end and first we were told 9pm, then 11pm, but the ballroom event ended at midnight.
Like a castle. Such a beautiful location in such a great part of town. I would not have expected something so lavish in st louis.
Grandma and I travel all over the country and stay in over 100 hotel rooms each year. Hilton has a certain standard I have come to expect. Hilton Frontenac was a disappointment. Beds did not have fitted sheets (I assume because they are hard to fold? Grandma has been doing it for 105 years, should have asked for her help). Shower pan did not drain water well so I had to stand in grandmas shower water from the night before. Coffee maker in the room was not working and couldn’t find any in the lobby (bad start to any day). Finally, the ironing boards have no cushioning so clothes come out with diamond patterns from the metal board. Lame. As mentioned, grandma and I have high standards. Step it up, Frontenac.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights recently. My experience there was not favorable. The hotel itself is a confusing layout of several buildings and long hallways. The map given at check-in only confused me further.
I called the front desk twice to get extra towels and soap. After 2 hours, I finally had to walk to the front desk myself to get these items.
I ordered room service one night. The food took ages to arrive and it was cold and tasted awful.
I called the front desk to speak to a manager. The manager never returned my call.
My expectations were not even close to being met. My suggestion to travelers is to stay elsewhere.
Hotel staff was wonderful, my complaints are as followed, 1 I wanted a drink and snack from vending machines, 3 out of the 4 I went to didn't work, the only one that work was clear up by the pool area asked the staff about them they basically didn't have any reason why those machines didn't work, Second thing I called and asked for a microwave they only have one again clear up by the front desk. Hallways have had breakfast dishes since this morning which tells me housekeeping is not doing there job and makes the place look trashy. 3rd when I went a used the microwave up front there employees are sitting in the back office areas watching shows on the computer like they had no care in the world. Final complaint is for the price we paid from Friday-Monday, I would expect a little bit more commodities, no microwave, no working vending machines besides one, no free breakfast hell for the price we paid I could have stay at a Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn and had alot more commodities. Never again will I pay for this place
Great service, beautiful hotel. Spacious rooms that are well furnished. Comfortable beds. My only complaint is that the hotel parks a van at the entrance which completely blocks other cars from getting past it if a guest is unloading. We had it happen to us twice where we had to back up around a difficult curve just to get out of the hotel parking lot
Beautiful buildings, great location. Front Desk staff not very attentive. Quite difficult to find them when you need them. No microwave in room. Bathroom very small. We stayed in a junior suite, may be different in other room types.
Room lock batteries needed to be replaced, so went through whole stay essentially having to have someone let us in our room. Finally fixed our last day there. I would stay again, great location, but don't expect the typical "thank you for being a hilton honors guest".
Only complaint on cleanliness was the Bathroom vent had a LOT of lint on it. I tried to clean it but couldn't quite reach that high.
I have another trip to STL coming up in December, will try another hilton property.
Great location; very nice rooms. Our family had a pleasant stay and would certainly return when we're next in St. Louis.
Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff is very helpful. The location is convenient to shopping, restaurants and major roads, I would definitely stay here again.
Room was small & had a musty smell. Lacking in amenities. The gym was great. Overall it just didn't measure up to other places I have stayed. Lobby is pretty. Just disappointed.
Enormous, rambling layout with lots of function space. Large, clean, well-kept rooms, and friendly staff. Food tastes good and is reasonably priced.
Just arrived at the hotel. It’s a big, beautiful, clean room with very comfortable beds. I like the location and plan on eating at the hotel restaurant. Check in went smooth and staff have been friendly so far. We are staying at the main building as I have read the rooms at the side buildings are smaller. It’s definitely a pricier hotel, but you get what you pay for.
Fine hotel with poor service, apathetic staff and outdated covid cost cutting measures in place.
