Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. Louis South - I-55, an IHG Hotel

I am not gonna stay any other hotel if i am visiting st Louis. Best service, cleanest hotel,

So quiet. Friendly staff. CLEAN! Great shower products. Very comfy bed.darkened shades. Large rooms. Great breakfast. I could not have asked for anything better! Wonderful hotel!

We try to stay at Holiday Inn Express when ever we travel. I want a good dreakfast, clean rooms, convenient location and friendly staff. Hoiday Inn dose not disappoint.

Stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. The staff was polite, respectful, and helpful. Breakfast was good everyday of the week and the building and room was clean. The full size Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion) in the shower and bathroom was the cherry on top.

Very new and updated. Wish the pool was a little larger. Staff were very courteous to me and my family

Located off I-55. So easy to hop right back on. Watch out for 270 traffic exiting at the next exit. Fabulous breakfast bar.
Shower was out of hair conditioner, but no big whoop.

The printed TV Guide in the room actually matched all the correct channels. I really appreciate that.

I stayed there two more nights
I know all my channels at home but when you're traveling you don't have a clue and the TV guides seldom match the actual channels. It's frustrating

Loved the FREE PARKING.
We stayed 4 summer nights. The room itself was good. Hard king bed, 5 pillows, 2 blankets, excellent A/C. Mini fridge (NO freezer), smaller microwave, pod coffee maker, hid-a-bed, ikea type tiny desk, and tiny side shelves, coffee table, and TV ALL in a studio size room.
Hearing the freeway all day and night, for me was not good (super easy freeway access). Also the elevator was disturbing. They also have a "smart" fan in the bathroom which I found creepy-like-a-peeping-Tom, it had a sensor and "knew" to turn itself on and off. I am older, and I am not a fan of that fan. The hot water was NOT always hot.
I really liked night security out on the frontage road to the hotels.
Breakfast was pretty good. Good variaty. Pancakes, instant oat meal, diet yogurt, (Breakfast meat: sasuge patty, bacon, or sausage links varied day by day), strange scrambled eggs, gravy, biscuits, high fiber muffins, bagles (no cream cheese or toaster), juice, coffee, water, jam, suryp, butter, and peanut butter, sugar, sugar substitute, creamer.
Staff seemed nice. Cleaning staff were exceptionally sweet. The indoor pool was about 70° which I do NOT consider heated. The pool was clean and clear. Plenty of extra towels, and several yard chairs for relaxing.
They also have a home gym style gym, coin operated laundry ares, and a little shopett for chips, soda, pain reliever, toothbrush exctera.

Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was an amazing spread! Loved being Able to eat outside. The coffee is really great! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. They had the DARKEST black out blinds I have ever seen in my life, and I used to be in sales so I've traveled a lot and this was a huge selling point for my family with two night owls.

Great consistency out of the Holiday Inn express brand. The rooms were nice and clean. The neighborhood was great. And our child really appreciated the nightly 8pm cookie drop!

The rooms are a decent size studio. Mini fridge, microwave, king size bed, sofa couch, desk, TV.

Cons:
The bathroom fan never shuts off. Windows do NOT open. I can see the freeway from the room, and hear it non-stop, room is expensive.

Pros: toll free & easy access to freeway, close to gas station, and fast-food, free parking, free breakfast, free cookies, free pool (room temp not heated), free gym, free lounge, free maid service, tiny convenient store in lobby, Free late check-out.

I have been to this location several times during my travels and most every time it's been pleasant. All staff except a girl call Regean were polite and smiles. Regean seems that have a chip on her shoulder the two times I encountered her. The first time was at check-out and I asked for a paper receipt and she acted like I was inconveniencing her. I let that pass as everyone has bad days. The last time I was there another older employee was standing next to Regean when she started mumbling about me (my room wasnt ready (not a huge deal for me) and Regean couldn't pronounce my last name correctly which directed her ire at me) - the older more experienced staff member did not chastise or correct Regean's behavior. A, " You should not say that. ", or "Your words are inappropriate right now. " Should have been said to correct the situation. I think Regean needs to be trained again in manners and people skills.
The rooms are slightly out of date but still nice. The showers have all been nice walk ins with a good shower head. They have a cookies and milk hour in the evening. I have had Door Dash delivered without any issues as well.

Great rooms, friendly staff, kiddo was impressed so that's a plus. Beds where awesome on firm side but comfy. Nice bathroom. Great breakfast. Atmosphere great for starting day either for work or vac.

This is a newer hotel in a great location. We had a few minor hiccups with our room through a third party website and the staff went above and beyond! Crystal was amazing at getting things in order and following up. I would recommend this property.

I am an IHG member and this is a top Holiday Inn Express property. Its very clean, newer, and staff a very friendly. The little things in the room were clean, organized, and actually worked unlike many properties.

The area is safe and easily accessible to many attractions. I preferred to stay outside of downtown St. Louis and the location is 20 minute drive to the ball park and Gateway Arch areas.

Overall a great experience.
