Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kirksville - University Area, an IHG Hotel

I tried to rent a room for three nights at this place and the front desk passed me off to a reservations place who said they were booked when they weren’t booked full and they ended up screwing me out of a couple hundred dollars they charge me $708 for a room at the Hampton and they said there was only one room left at the Hampton when I called management at both hotels the next day and there was rooms available at both hotels so the front desk is got a scam going with somebody to make money off people that’s what happened to me. They made $205 off my reservation.

Stole my dad’s money 700$ he made a reservation online and they took his money scamming through the reservation department

The room is very nice. Hotel and room are very clean and spacious. I haven't eaten the breakfast yet so I can't comment on that.

Wasnt a stay, however I worked there and tried to contact them regarding W2s and they dont seem to want to respond or actually have time for me

Clean facility, excellent service. Housekeeping was spot on, didn’t have to ask for service. I would rate this IHG with any other premium brand hotels. I choose this location over the Hampton Inn when I’m staying in Kirksville.

Super clean, easy check in, nice pool! The best part was the continental breakfast. We have four kids and the woman who was in charge of breakfast, helped us get our kids everything they wanted, she asked if we needed washclothes for dirty hands, gave us a to-go bag, had pancakes ready, everything! We came up for my husband’s grandfathers funeral. She was such a bright face during a sad reason to be staying in a hotel. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Everything was great but could have went without the housekeeper knocking at 9am and again at 10 as I like to sleep till the last minute

5 stars for being what Holiday Inn should be. Not a 5 star hotel, but 5 stars for being competent.

I will never stay here again!
I reserved a room in August for my husband and two grown children. I specifically reserved two queen beds. I called ahead to say that I will be checking in late and they said it was no problem. When I get here, they give us a king room and say they have no other rooms and no rollaways! What was I supposed to do? How dare they! Very upsetting. Cannot trust this place. What is the point of a reservation if your room really isn’t reserved? I have heard that they do this all the time and give away your room. Do not go here. I will not EVER AGAIN!

I would’ve given it a higher rating except there is no sound bearer between flooring. You know exactly where the people are above you by the loud foot steps! We were on the second floor and if we ever stay there again I would definitely make sure I was on the top floor!
Breakfast was great!

Room was nice and extremely spacious, my only concern is that the temperature could only go to 64 degrees, however it didn't feel like 64. Next time I'll stay at the Baymont across the street like I did a few years ago. The AC was so cold, it could turn the room into an icebox.

Very friendly staff, breakfast area was well stocked and great choices. Cookies at night and coffee anytime I wanted a cup. Rooms were clean and very spacious.

Nicest Hotel I've ever stayed in! Beds were clean and comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The shower was amazing, full pressure and hot! And breakfast was delicious too! Every employee was very friendly!

The location here is quiet.perfectly clean. It must be a new build because it was in perfect condition.this was one of the best holiday Inns i have ever visited.

We've stayed here several times before and all previous stays were very good, but this stay was just OK.

This rating is lower because of three reasons: 1. A malfunctioning room air conditioner during the hottest days of the summer so far 2. A broken coffee pot that was repaired or replaced after reporting it several times.and 3.the front desk clerk on the evening of July 24th that was condescending and telling us that their maintenance people are usually really good so the problem must be with us. She couldn't be bothered and was completely indifferent.

I told her that here maintenance people were incompetent if they couldn't identify and fix the problems. He rooms was dirtier than previous stays as well.

Had a great experience. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, and breakfast was descent. Would stay again.
