Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sedalia, an IHG Hotel

Amazing staff! Clean rooms. Great breakfast options that were kept warm & stocked. Pool & hot tubs were clean & great temperatures.

The breakfast bar at this motel was awesome had bacon sausage biscuits and gravy five star for this breakfast bar

Everything about the stay was great. We were in town for two nights and they had some of the best rates in town for the comfort they provided. The two bed room was very spacious with a fridge and microwave and when I say it was a full bathroom, it was huge. The continental breakfast was delicious, and we could eat until we were full and very satisfied. And also, as smokers, we had a room right next to the end of the hallway and we were able to enjoy our cigarettes on a bench outside on the side of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be staying again the next time we are going through Sedalia.

We hate hotels that force the room temperature to certain limits! This one has a low setpoint of 64, which is too warm for my health issues that cause me to overheat in the night. It also has an occupancy sensor that will work during the night, but as soon as my travel partner gets up and moves around the room in the morning, and then leaves the room, it thinks no one is there, and heats up the room while I'm still asleep.

We know that hotels want to save money, but at the expense of their guests' comfort, even for someone with health issues?

The only reason we stayed here is the Airbnb's were all booked due to an event. We are members of IHG but will no longer be customers because of this experience and others like it.

Just used while passthrough from east coast to west coast. The price is not that crazy and the personal both over the phone and in person were kind and helpful. If you are travelling with a tow they will let you park in the nearest spot on the TCS parking lot. Just try to stay within the lines.
Really appreciate the place and the people helping us to have a enjoyable stay.

If you are visiting Sedalia is not that much out of the downtown, but if you want to walk in downtown I would suggest to look for a closer hotel. If instead you purpose is the country fair than I would highly recommend it since you are close enough and you would avoid traffic around the city.

I travel for my real estate business. Better price than Hampton, my room is much quieter! Breakfast is really good thanks to Sherry. Also they let me charge my EV. Valerie, Crystal, and the sweet girl who works the night shift (didn’t get her name) are gems. Thank you guys.

Everything was great except the bed was sagging in the middle it felt like you were sleeping in a big hole

Nice room. Carpets are dirty and need a deep clean. It was a bit rude to have a tip jar at the breakfast area.

Great rooms, specious and recently renovated. They have two international power outlets which are always nice. Staff super friendly, fantastic location close to restaurants and Walmart. Gym could be improved (has no dumbbells equipment), as well as breakfast which doesn’t have many fruit options.

Valerie was the one checked us in and on staff the next night. She was super friendly, helpful, and funny. Will be back in the area next year, amd will be staying again.

Clean and quiet up to date rooms. Beware if you are a truck driver. They say you can park at the tractor supply next door. I was woke up at 6 am and told to go move my truck out of the way. Manager at Tractor supply says can park on curb next to hotel but not in the actual lot of tractor supply

It was a weird experience, the front desk lady was so concerned with no drinks or food in the pool area, she made that clear at check in. I travel a lot and have never experienced such a concern for no drinks, not even water in the pool area. The pool area was sickening, my youngest had to leave because the smell of the fumes in the in closed pool area were so bad. We actually smelt the pool when we checked in. The front desk lady mentioned it was a salt water pool and that shocked me, the smell in the pool area was really bad, we didn’t stay long. We did try to open a window to help with the air circulation but the windows wouldn’t open. There was also no mats at the entrance/exit of the pool area, it was super slippery. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the rooms were clean. This hotel is not up to Holiday Inn standards, I’ve stayed at several. It was also weird that the cops showed up twice in 2 hours. Oh and my room did not lock unless I slammed it, this hotel needs an upgrade!

Nice hotel, could use an update to the lobby, but the staff were very nice & the place was very clean! Breakfast was standard continental foods, but plenty of choices & good hot options. I didn't go in the pool, but it was open & people were in both the pool & hot tub having fun. My room was spotless & updated. The beds are super soft & comfy. I slept great! The room was spacious & comfortable, fridge worked well & the bathroom was clean. I would definitely stay again!

We were met by a rude dismissal at the front desk.corporate website said pet friendly, we could have been told nicely otherwise.won’t be going back.

I did not stay at this hotel. I walked in to inquire about a sleepover party for my son’s birthday in a couple of weeks. Nothing crazy - adults (obviously!) and a few kids. I was interested in booking 2-3 rooms and using the pool. I immediately experienced push back from the employee I encountered. My entire experience with her was negative. She started telling me I couldn’t do certain things (assuming I’d leave the kids alone in the room, assuming I wanted to rent the pool privately, assuming I’d want food in the pool area, etc). I couldn’t even ask many questions because she was so quick to make assumptions. I then asked if I could see a room. She told me I could not because of staffing, and that it would need to be earlier in the day when there are more people there. (This was approx 5: 20pm - not late whatsoever) I checked out the pool and then left with an extremely sour taste in my mouth. The entire customer service experience was odd. Furthermore, I was dressed in scrubs, clearly a healthcare worker. I live in a nearby town and work locally. The disrespect from the moment I walked in the door was disturbing. Will go with a local competitor and honestly after staying with many of these hotels in previous travels, not sure I will stay again after this experience.

Clean room. Staff was pleasant. Has a work out room didn't use but looked equiped. Nice sized pool. Nice sized breakfast nook / gathering area.

The room is comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is very good. The pool and hot tub are nice but its very loud.

Wish they were friendlier and were more respectful of people's time. Stop knock at door with signs on the handle at 10 am.some people don't get in till 2am and asleep at 3am. These people Def don't go above and beyond at thus place. I travel a lot for work and stayed several holiday inns.this one by far most disappointing.

I don't usually write reviews, but can't believe how this hotel does it. After much traveling in the post-Covid "new normal", and experiencing the decline in Hotel accommodations and services, this place was amazing! Exceptionally clean rooms and bathrooms, good water pressure, with sinks and showers that actually drain, I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Would definitely go out of my way to stay here again.
