Motel Hotel Marceline reviews
18Stayed here in summer of 2021 and had such a great time. The Disney Resort themed rooms really add to the overall experience of visiting Marceline. The room itself was clean and had obviously been recently renovated. Hoping to visit again this upcoming year.
Great place to stay in town and a great value. Really liked the Disney art and furniture. Main complaint is we booked a queen room amd got a full room, they were the same price so not that big of deal.
This place is a little treasure! Very clean, decor is Walt Disney's themed. I surprised my boyfriend with a little get away to see the boyhood town of Walt Disney! We ran into a problem when my vehicle died. This town and surrounding area has the most genuine and kindest people ever! I highly recommend this hotel and this town for a quiet getaway!
We unfortunately didn't get to stay because they were closed when we arrived for our reservation on our first night. Had to drive to the next town to get another hotel that night.
Our family stayed in the two bedroom Wilderness Retreat which was very spacious, comfortable, clean and sprinkled with Disney magic. Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.
Perfect place to feel ‘Welcome Home’ in Walt’s boyhood hometown.
Stayed one night in the two room cottage which was huge in terms of space. Clean and well furnished. Place looks newly updated. Appliances hardly looked used. Just a few minor issues like running out of hot water, doors not level so they don’t close and lock right, the decks could use some love, and other minor cosmetics. Otherwise great place.
This place is so nice in good location. And the people here are so kind thank you for the ride to brookfield i really do appreciate everything
Ours was a 2 night stay in a king room. I really, really wanted to give a better rating, but, on the whole, just can't in good conscience.
The pros:
1. Very reasonable prices.
2. Clean
3. Comfortable bed
4. Well decorated
5. Close to downtown Marceline
6. Mini-fridge, microwave
7. Close to various amenities (grocery, gas station, fast food restaurants)
The cons:
1. No coffee maker
2. Paper thin walls (we had to listen to a neighbor yapping on his phone for hours our second evening)
3. No hot water (barely got warm)
4. Tiny ants on bath counter
5. Train noises often through the night
6. It's a motel, not hotel
7. No ice machine
8. No closet to hang clothes
We wanted to go to Marceline for a while. We weren’t familiar with the area and chose this hotel because it looked charming. It didn’t disappoint. The desk clerk who I presume is the owner was really sweet and knowledgeable. The room was tiny, but perfect for our overnight stay. The room was clean and many options for tv channels when we settled in. It’s is within walking distance to a gas station and restaurant. I believe it was a Mr Goodcents. I was real close to the Disney’s barn and the downtown area. My only tip would be if you are bringing children get two adjoining rooms. The twin beds are reallly twin size. Maybe bring ice if you need it.didn’t recall seeing and ice machine. Would stay again in a heartbeat. We are two chicks. We felt very safe there.
The room was nice but the service wasn't lovely. We left around 3am and my beau forgot his wallet and we were locked out of the room. We went to the office and they didn't answer the door or the phone. I rang the bell and knocked multiple times and he called them at least 5 times while I knocked. We're going to add an extra trip back tomorrow in order bht o get his wallet. Couldn't stay til they answer cause we had to be else where in two hours.
Super comfy bed! Hand held shower. King rooms are on the sides of the motel so can't park right out front. Very clean and in good repair for an old motel. Room was small. Very quiet. Nice proprietor.
Newly remodeled, small rooms but comfortable beds and very clean. We need to support more privately owned businesses
The Hotel was not new but it was clean, quite, and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed being back in my husband's boyhood home town. And the old hotel made me feel right at home. I got a great nights sleep.
Clean, friendly and spacious with a nearby sub shop and gas station with sub and pizza options of you don't want to use the full size kitchen with all the needed cooking items. Close to the Walt Disney Hotel, barn and thinking tree. We stayed in the Wilderness Retreat.
Good clean room. Bathroom was up to date. Price was a little high for Marceline, but overall it was fine.
Tried to check in, ya it was 7 am but they were closed, missed out on a full night and all we needed was a few hours sleep
Super cute vintage-like motel. Everything was clean. Only issue was the large mounted tv was not working but there was a very teeny tiny tv on top of the microwave as substitute. It felt more like a tease though lol
Loved the clean room. She even had the heater going when we walked into the room. Nice hot showers.
