House of Hope, Lexington MO

Awful! I would not recommend if you have babies. Some of the staff are rude. The manager is rude and disrespectful. Not helpful at all. The only nice person there was Emily. Emily was kind and welcoming and Rebecca was nice and welcoming too. Everyone else was rude. Katie was so rude to me and is just rude in General. Katie did not make the place feel welcoming. Very unprofessional!

My saving grace as a young preteen and being in a shelter. At the current time many moons ago… The director of house of hope actually helped my family become safe and stable. They made all of us (large family.) feel the most at home that they could all things considered.

Now years later, I am stuck in the not best situation and again House of Hope has constantly been blunt with me. (Which to be honest probably made me more upset at first.) The probing questions allow me to process exactly how hard it could be to become the new me and the best me. Preparing you for what’s potentially to come. They’ve given me love, while also giving me the hard facts and ensuring I make the correct steps to never end up here again. All of these negative reviews really do suck. All that these women and men do for people is amazing. I’ve been not ready to commit like I said. I completely understand that sadly they can’t do right by every single person. However every day they come to work and help every single person they can. They I am sure also go home every single night and think of all the people they didn’t get to help. 5 stars.i wish there was more than stars!

Katie and the director of operations for the House of Hope have made us feel attacked and scared during our crisis. They have provided very little in terms of services to help us out of our crisis. They kicked us out because my child is not in school even though they requested that my children be tested for covid because they are coughing. I had nowhere else to go so I parked my van on the streets in front. Then they called the police to have me removed from the public property, but the police officer allowed us to stay on the street in front of the shelter because we have nowhere else to go and we are waiting to be tested for covid. My children are not allowed to go to school until they are all clear for covid, but the house of hope will not allow us to shelter here because my children are not physically in school. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER when I am in the middle of a crisis. The police officer said Hope House is a much better facility, and suggested I call them. House if hope claims that this shelter is a private location yet here they are on maps. Oh and my children and I didn't start getting sick until we had been here four days. Beware! And the cherry on top is that they are accusing me of being the perpetrator rather than helping me get the legal assistance I need as a victim right now.

If you or a loved one has had a similar experience, I urge you to file a complaint with the ACLU, LAAW, supportvictims.org, and any other place that can take action against the atrocities.

House of hope in Lexington mo is a absolute joke. I had one visit there with my son. They kicked me out because of their incompetence. I wish I could remember the man's name. Funny part, they wanted to testify to take my child. Less than a month later I has sole physical custody of him. They are a laughing stock. I would rate them 0 stars. They should be shut down. They try to ruin lives not help.
